Default New xB 4.0 owner

Hi all. On Saturday I picked up my first new car and I love the little thing! All I have ever owned before this were pick-ups, so this is quite a change. So, obviously, I'm new to the board and would greatly appreciate any advice. I live in Central Oregon and I see a few xB's rolling around, but when I did a search for any groups in the area, I didn't come up with anything. If anyone knows of a group, a tour, or meeting in the area I would love to hear about it. Thanks to all and I look forward to talking with you soon.

lowering springs first and foremost, most drop between 1" and 2", after that, its all down hill, you will always find something to do to it, rims, intake, exhaust, strut bar, etc, etc, etc, lol, good luck.

Hi, all. My wife and I are already thinking about putting on aluminum rims on the box. I'd like to keep them the stock size because of the gas milage. I traded my '03 Tundra on this little beauty and in town I was getting about 12mpg. That was one of the large factors in getting rid of the truck. I'm checking on craigslist for a set of factory aluminum rims that would fit the bill nicely and then use the original steel ones for studs in the winter. I'm not going to lower it, because where I am we do see a bit of snow from time to time and that would make it a bit difficult to drive in the snow. I was also wondering if anyone has used that cargo liner? It's the one that covers the cargo area and the back of the back seats. We have 2 dogs that we like to take out to the desert to go run around and I'm wondering how durable that product is and if it would hold up to their claws and feet.
Thanks all.

I put my seats down in my car and had my dog back there (weimaraner) and I was afraid she was going to go thru the backs of the seats, I don't know how the xB's seat backs are done, but the xA's aren't solid, I just cover the rear seat with a blanket for Gracie and use a harness to seatbelt her in for safety reasons, and she would be in my lap if I didn't, lol.

I did some snow pushing with my lower lip this winter. It makes for a great snow plow.

I know for a fact I'll be heading that direction more than once this summer. I'll be coming out through Sweethome via the lava flows and then on through Sisters to Bend. Keep on posting and I'm sure we'll get a few to make the trip. There is a lot of beautiful scenery on that side of the hill.
