People have been talking about this, so I figured I would make a thread to discuss this so everyone is on the same page. I will update this thread periodically as decisions are made for where and what time.

PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD:
To determine WHEN and WHERE everyone is meeting up PRIOR to the PDXmas Tuner Bash so Team Ascension (and anyone else) can roll-in together.


PARTIES COMING FROM SEATTLE/TACOMA/OLYMIPA:
- Olympia Rest Stop (Mile Marker 93 off I-5 South)
- Meet up between 6:30-7:00AM
- Departing for Portland by 7:00AM. (Can be moved if necessary but I figure it takes about 2.5 hours to get to Beaverton, so that puts you arriving at 9:30 to meet up with the Portland people)
- Will be meeting with the Portland/Vancouver people below, then caravanning to dealership together

PARTIES COMING FROM SO. OREGON/PORTLAND/VANCOUVER:
- Olive Garden Parking Lot (11650 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton, OR)
- Meet up between 9:00-9:30AM
- Seattle people will meet here so both parties can depart and arrive at dealership together
- Depart for dealership by 9:30-9:45AM



DONE!

 

Perhaps at the Olympia M&G place would be a good place to start out at and line up to go..........I am open to wherre ever it is finally decided to meet at.......but it sure is fun driving in a big line down the freeway........I know I need to get out more but I think it is fun..........

me and doug plan to have everyone who wants to meet up before the event in or around portland and then we all head in at the same time

 

I'm going to head to Beaverton tomorrow and find a meet up place for the Portland/Vancouver people (and eventually the Seattle people after they meet in Olympia).

Need your input for a meet up spot for Olympia! I'm not even remotely versed in the area. LoL

Since its so early, the parking lot should be pretty empty since it doesn't open til lunch time.

I am 99% sure I will not be attending, but, I guess no one else from the Olympia area has replied so I guess I'll dump out some ideas.

The Olympia meet and greet spot sucks, it's hard to find for non-locals as well as getting on the freeway from there isn't exactly easy because it's a busy exit. For Mt. St. Helens, I know people met up north, and they they used Chehalis as a stopping ground, that worked well from what I saw because long on ramps for everyone to wait for people as they work through the stoplights.

Really though probably the best bet for a place to meet is using the rest stop between Olympia and Chehalis. Just have Olympia people meet there and it allows for parking and everyone to get on the freeway together.

Just some random ideas as I procrastinate from rolling out new products at work.

Also for all people cruising down, I would recommend bringing hand held radios and extra batteries, they make the drive a lot more fun to add some b/s into the mix.

 

Anyone else want to to chime in on the Olympia meet spot?

I have to agree with Will that the rest stop just south of Oly is a good spot to meet at, easy on/off and easy to find, but then, I'm not the one that has to meet up there, but it is a good idea, northenders, input???

 

ummmmm what rest stop oh wait nm that one, yeah i guess that one will work and at what time should we meet up there around 7am????
