Default Paint Protection

Has anyone had paint protection done to their Scion. How much did it cost and/or anyone reputable in the area? Winter season is upon us and already in 4 weeks of owning this car I have a knik on my front bumper (very small but still there) not to mention that with commuting every day through the construction zone thats 405 near Kirkland who knows what could happen (hell I already have two small chips in my windshield, the size of 2-3 grains of sand... again nothing big but still only 4 weeks damnit!!).

Yeah exactly many places carry them. That is the general problem lol. Any places in particular that do a good job for a decent price?

I paid $500 for paint and interior protectant when I got both of my xB's it does not do anything both cars chipped. When I got the tC a few weeks ago I didn't even bother paying for it.

There is a BIG difference between a dealer's "paint protection coating" (fancy silicone/teflon/wax coating that lasts maybe 6 months) and the 8 mil 3M urethane "paint protection film" that goes on the forward surfaces of the vehicle. BIG difference. One is an overpriced wax job, the other protects against nicks.

Well Solar Reflections is not cheap, $800. Seems to be about $300 above what I was expecting.

The RS3.0 CoreyAnn has is only 5 months old and it has a bunch of chips. You know those sales people claim products will do everything. They claim that the protectant would protect against chips. It also came with an underbody something or other. There is a shop in Auburn that does the 3m stuff I’m going to ask for a quote on that.
