Default People traveling to the Exposed 3 ballgame

My wife and I will heading up to Seattle for the Exposed 3 gig on Friday August 4th. We will be finding a hotel up near there to stay the weekend (fri/sat, coming home sun).

A couple questions for everyone heading up there or people up there already.

1. Is there anyone else heading up there to spend the night?
2. If you are spending the night, do we all want to stay at the same place?

Question for someone that lives up there near the stadium.

1. Do you know of a hotel/motel that is near or situated in a place that would be convienent to the ballgame and some town activities?

Thanks for the info.. As soon as I find a hotel/motel I will get my reservations made and post the # and directions to said place.

I am thinking that if we find a good place on the way, it would be a good place for everyone to meet up and do a final cruise in to the Exposed deal together. That way us "out of towners" don't have to search around trying to find the meeting place.

Thanks tons for any help on hotel/motel info and I look forward to hanging out again.

what price range are you looking for? Some places downtown can get spendy. Not sure if price is over location. I can find stuff "near" downtown for a better price.

Let me know and I can give you some ideas on Monday.

I think our tops will be $100.00 a night.

I have no idea where the stadium is at, so I'm not sure of the "good locations" thing. I think someplace where there is good eats and drinks within walking distance of the hotel would be cool.. We are not much of a "nightlife" couple, but we enjoy a good bar with great appitizers. So walking distance to a place like that from the hotel would be really cool.

As far as locations adjacent to the stadium... I have no idea to the lay of the land around there. But we are going up there for the ballgame, so I think someplace closer to the stadium would out weigh location to the drinking. We could always cab it to the bar and back if needed. Besides, if I 'm close to Exposed 3, I'll have less bugs to scape off the bumper of my car when we get there

Thanks for your help

I am going up Friday night, my Mom is also. Everyone post up what you find. Initial search of hotels around the stadium were like $399 a night. Might have to stay a little further away, maybe Southcenter? Hmm... I wonder if we can get a discount on say 4-5 rooms as a block?

For $90.00, you'd had best tuck us in and make us breakfast in the morning... and no, dunuts do not count as breakfast

Okay... I'm in.. the gal at the Seattle visitor center said this hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes from the Safeco Field (that's what she said anyway). She also said that there is a huge softball tourny that weekend.. so things are filling up fast.

There is a REALLY cheap option just over the West Seattle Bridge from Safeco...the Travelodge in West Seattle. It is like $59 per night. Not a great place, but the neighborhood is okay, and it is really close to ballpark. Also, very close to The Junction, which is an area of West Seattle that has some cool bars and restaurants.

Just an option for people who want nothing more than a bed for the night...

I have no idea what time I'll be leaving. My wife has to work that day, so it's a good possiblity that we won't be leaving till late also. Not sure if we will be leaving as late as 9. but who knows..

Oh, MNScion.. that is a really good price.. A little late for me, plus I kinda like a the idea of possibly having a "softer" bed than last time.. That super 8 I stayed at in Kelso had a 50 year warrenty bed.. Hardest thing I've slept on since camping when I was a kid. But a really good price no less...

Hey Tu, I'll be in touch with you when it gets a little closer to that time.. I'll know more then as to my wifes schedule that day. We may also get a better head-count as to who is heading up on friday and times that everyone can get away.. We may be able to settle on a common time frame with everyone and do a little caravan.

As of one day of posting we already have you, camie, glen and his mom (not sure if she's taking her brand spanken new xB or riding with Glen) and myself. That's 4 rigs right there..

We'll figure out a place to meet outside of Safeco so we can all park together.
