Phat (or Fat) Panda
So yeah, ever since I got the box yesterday. I have been wondering what I should do with it.
First thing: new sound system. I have a deep passion for music and I want it to sound GOOD. Not sure what system to get or where to get it from.
Any other suggestions such as engine stuff, wheels, short shifters, etc? Give me ideas, please.
Since I get like...no money for a paycheck (1300/mo after taxes, half going to car loan and insurance)...if any of you guys have cheap or free classic xb parts, let me know.

Before you totally discount the OEM sound, make sure your "SSP" is set to "xB" so that the OEM audio eqpt is tuned to your car. (PRESS and HOLD SSP until the display changes, selections are xA, xB, and tC.
You obviously want xB as that sets the audio outputs to match stock speaker type and placement in your car.) This is "reset" every time battery power to the radio is removed, and most dealers never bother to set it correctly.
THEN, after the display clears, CLICK the SSP button and set to "FEEL." Try the other settings, too, just to get the best balance FOR YOU.
Now click the center **** and go through the settings there, too. No telling what the last person left it set on.
After you do this, I suspect the stock audio WILL sound a bit better.
That should help until you can sort out what you want to do with the audio...
