I've now been on the Edmonds - Kingston ferry twice and would love to do it again, so I'm totally down for a Port Townsend meet.

 

Okay guys and gals im thinking either saturday morning run for this meet. How many can attend.

Not trying to be a smart ___ but you said "either" so is there another option than Saturday morning? If not no biggie, but we may be changing our lineup of cars on Saturday if all goes well, but I'll know that sometime this week.

 

You know what would make an awesome photo? Rows of scions on a ferry. (Ya'll may have done this already but I think it would be cool!) :D

 

You guys figure out the schedule, just assume that I'll be there -- whenever that might be. Though I don't need to take the ferry, so you'd have to photoshop me in.

 

Ok this is going to sound stupid.... but there's a way to get there without a ferry??

 

yeah, you can drive down through Tacoma, over the Narrows bridge (hwy 16). it's a long drive, i'd rather take the ferry...

 

88 miles from Tacoma.. How much $$$ for da ferry?

 

Maybe we can loop it? Drive around on the way there, coming back, hit the Kingston ferry and drive down from Edmonds?

 

Its an awesome drive either way ferry or not and I was saying either Saturday or sunday.

I just cant make it down till after 1pm on Sunday the 20th.

That's a good question.... is it based on weight? Because I've taken the same car over and back and it was 2 different prices. $20 something on the way over and $12 something on the way back. On the way over I had me +1 person in the car, on the way back it was just me. :?

That was also in our Volvo... not the Scion, and the Volvo is heavier. Unless like $12 is the base rate?

 

Quinn, it's cheaper on the way back. Some of the runs don't even charge on the way back. its based on car, the volvo and scion should be the same.

 

Talked to Tim about it this morning... he's of the mind to take the ferry both ways, so if anyone is doing that let us know. May be able to twist his arm into the drive around, but he's thinking of cost of gas vs cost of ferry.
