Wow... Westside Fred Meyer, near the 24 hour starbucks was crazy tonight.... at least 50 VW's, mixed with various imports.

I was at Moonstruck with the XS guys and stopped by with my lowly Scion to check them out.... (They didn't see that one coming)

I don't know if tomarrow is going to be the same out there, but the XS guys will be at moonstruck again at least.... fun, fun times.... (There are some AMAZING VW's in the portland area that I've never seen...)

A lot of them were from team fastforward, which is most probably going to take the team quantity at Import Motion... I believe they have at least 18 cars registered, with probably more to come.... golly... Some decently cool rides.

 

me and dustin were talking about headin out there later tonight... maybe we will stop by and visit you tim...

What time do people start coming down there? Are there problems with the cops?

Just curious; in both Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis/St, Paul, MN, we had our spots, but they were often not worth going to because the cops would bust you for just being there (e.g. loitering). I'm not into street racing, but I like seeing a wide-variety of enthusiasts' cars.

 

umm that place is sorta hit and miss... some nights it really good some nights your the only ones threre... and as far as the police are concerned if you show up and buy something from one of the like 30 stores that are right in that area... they cant run you off as long as you arent doing burnouts or racing or fighting or anything else thats really stupid. so yeah... you should drop by. most people start showing about 9 930 ish. like i said i know a few TA people are gonna head over there later.

 

I'm not sure If I'm going out tonight, or who will be there... I know the VW guys are looking at meeting next friday again, but tonight may be just hit and miss...

The cops drive through all the time, but don't do anything, as most of the guys are well behaved.... they will get you on the side roads around the place though if anyone gets crazy though...

Some white tC roared by there last night, but didn't stop... I was surely the only scion there... most of the guys were there for a meet arranged at VWVortex.com.

The summer months is almost always full, but rainy days and winter is hard to get too many guys out there.

I wouldn't gaurentee anything tonight... I know the XS guys will be sitting at moonstruck, but most of their cars are garaged when weather is nasty like this and they take the backups... worth a look maybe though, just no hopes until next friday for a decent turnout.
