Default Portland: SCCA Autoscross #1

Anyone autocrossing on the 24th (practice day) or 25th?

http://www.oregonregionsolo2.com/schedule.htm

I'm planning on running the xB (STS class).

The install went pretty well. The shifter is nice, but the install itself (no matter what brand you get) is kind of a bear unless it comes with an all-new plastic shifter assembly.

Just a reminder.

I will most likely be there on Sunday, unless the weather sucks.

Dude, where were you?

I actually did pretty well; I kept screwing up this one gate, but otherwise, I would've placed top 3 in STS.

WOW...was this today's (the 25th) photo? It was raining buckets and I thought for sure that they were going to cancel it (not sure what rain regs they have).

CONGRATS!!!

Well, it was raining in the morning, but they run in the rain. However, the sun came out around 10:00am and the track started to dry up. Luckily, I was in the second group to run. I'm still ____ed that I kept missing those gates; I'm sure I placed last because of it. Oh well; it was a blast as usual.

I turn the traction control off when I autocross, and I've had the VSC come on only once. Heck, I was able to get the back end rotating pretty well around a couple of corners without the VSC yelling at me.
