Hey All! I am looking at putting together an event and I want to gauge interest.

I am thinking about a tour of the Toyota/SCION Port Facility. It would POSSIBLY include:

Ship tour (how cars get here)
Line tour (what happens once they get here)
Installer speaker (speak to an accessory installer)
3rd party Installer (speak to a 3rd party accessory installer)
Lunch?

This is all tentative. I just want to see how many people would like this type of thing?

sounds like fun, been on lots of ships working at the grain elevator, but not many car haulers.

 

Is this the facility here in Portland?

 

Yeah down on the river... We have ships pretty regularly, but you can't see them from downtown. Our port is out near the St. Johns Bridge.

 

Depends on the weekend but I think ti would be fun.

Have driven by there before and seen the yards full of cars, not neccesarily Scions, but cars as far as the eye could see, lol.

 

cool! the only time I have been over St. Johns bridge is doing the STP!

 

If it's a day I can make it, I'll be there.

(Make sure to check if pictures are "OK" so I know whether to bring the big camera or the covert one.)

Just seeing the interest. I would rather do it on a week day so we can see everything... And boats don't come on the weekend.
