She's sighted in @ 50 yards... I had her practicing before we went up on the hill shooting water balloons @ 40 yards consistantly.

I'm thinking about taking her across the street and doing a little coyote hunting, but I might wait on it until I do a little more research into different ammo. The Bi-Mart CCI hollow-points special probably wouldn't be ethical (I'm big into "more is better" when it comes to the taking of game).

I've shot tons of .22 bullets, but have never done any serious hunting with it. So my knowledge of "varmint rounds" is limited to NIL when it comes to .22's.

wholly crap.. I have not heard a reference to Bi Mart for some time!! She looks like an angel!! My daughter is nearly 11.. it is getting time to take her to the range.. spose a .45 auto (handgun) is a bit overkill for the first time out?

Ya, a 45 auto might ruin any desire to shoot ever again..lol... Course she is older and larger in stature, so it might not be bad.

I shot a sawed off shotgun back when I was an early teen... I have never had a desire to shoot one again. That gun flat knocked me on my butt (and scared the crap out of me)

 

the recoil on that 45 will put a nice dent in her forehead, lol.
