With the Oregon Trails Rally going on this weekend, Scion had a reception for the Rally xD team at The Slate. Had a good time. Got to see the car up close and dirty, they had ran it earlier in the day at PIR and they left it dirty for the event. Got to talk to ACP for a few minutes. Wish we could make it to PIR tomorrow to see some of the action and get some action shots, but I had to settle on stills this time around. So, without further ado, the pics....

We had a good time. Finally met Teske and the wife, drank a couple beers, got some swag and the xD...mmmmm

 

I'm not sure of the horsepower, but they are running a Greddy turbo with, I think, 6lbs of boost. The engine is basicly stock other than turbo and exhaust. ACP said it is fun to drive and had it up around 90 to 100 on the course that they are running at PIR during practice yestereday.

I think that car was made by Scion Evolution as part of a contest between car clubs in So Cal. (i think that's it)

The Sparco Rally xD finished first in class and seventh overall this weekend. Listened thru OTR website most of the weekend, wishing I was there watching. Rally-America.com has some videos up from the weekend, including in car and bumper cam from the Mazda team, which is very cool to watch. Congrats to the Rally xD team on their win.
