If you drive around the Bangor or Bremerton bases often enough, you might see me in my tC driving around. Probably the only Flint Mica tC with a "SCIONLIFE.COM" sticker on the rear left passenger window. I'm an IT field tech for MWR, so you might see me at the either of the Liberty centers.

There's a lot of places to go to afterward. We'll be so close to Pioneer Square!

Southern Contingent: For those of you driving up from south of Tacoma and stopping at the Tacoma M&G location, THIS is what it should look like when you are in the right place...

The leader of the Portland convoy and the leader of the Tacoma group should swap cell phone numbers so there will be contact in case there are delays, problems, getting lost, getting in early/late, whatever.

I have a few walkies that I will get charged up...I think we have maybe 4 or 5 of them. Can also compile list of cell numbers and print and hand out at the two locals.

So who is going to be heading up the convoys? I mean do we draw straws or what? LOL

Whenever I'm part of a Scion Convoy/Cruise, Vanilla and I are at the 6 o'clock position, watching the tail, making sure no one gets lost, letting the leader know if we are falling behind, if someone pulled over, if we got caught by a light, whatever.

Lead usually goes to someone familiar with the route and who can be trusted to keep the speeds within the limits and only make lane changes when needed and with warning via the radios.

Things can get complex when there is a long line of cars trying to maintain some semblance of order.

I don't know who will lead out of Tacoma, but I do know who will be the tail. :D

Cindy has me confused........after reading all 15 pages.......she says I need to sign up for the car show at this.....but all I found is the main registration for the game......what am I missing........

In my head the original conformation should be what I need to put the car in the show unless I am not seeing something.......thread has gotten a bit cluttered.

From everything I've seen here it looks like the registration for the Scion Exposed 5 - Seattle event is all we can do for right now to register.

Possibly there will be something additional st the event site, but I see no way to pre-register specifically for the 'car show" part, Brian.

One more question for The Foth or anyone else who knows for sure: Which side of the Qwest Event Center parking garage is the entry from the street on??? We'll have a convoy of Scion arriving from the south and need to know where we need to get to. :D

(In the mean time, I'll go check the Qwest Field site to see if there is info...)

What I found:

There are three parking lots managed by Qwest Field: the North Lot, Qwest Event Center Garage, and Union Station Garage. The entrances to these three garages are as follows:

* Qwest Event Center Parking Garage: Royal Brougham Way South, across from Safeco Field

Since general registration opened before the car show was added to the event, car show registration will be handled at roll in. There will be 2 lanes general parking and car show parking. The car show will be capped at 100 cars so get there early.

The Quest garage next to the event center only has one entrance on Royal Brougham. I would recommend whichever route you take that you approach from the 4th Ave side so that it's a right turn into the garage, but be sure to not block the rail road tracks because they're very active.

Here are some quick directions via Google maps:

From the South

1. Take the exit onto I-5 N toward Seattle x mi
2. Take exit 164B toward 4th Ave S 0.4 mi
3. Merge onto I-90 W 207 ft
4. Take the exit toward Qwest Field/City Center 0.3 mi
5. Turn right at 4th Ave S 0.1 mi
6. Turn right at S Royal Brougham Way 223 ft

From the North

1. Merge onto I-5 S via the ramp to Seattle x mi
2. Take exit 164 for Dearborn St/I-90 E/Airport Way toward 4th Ave S/Bellevue/Spokane 0.9 mi
3. Follow signs for I-5 S/Portland/Tacoma 0.1 mi
4. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for 4th Ave S and merge onto I-90 W 0.4 mi
5. Take the exit toward Qwest Field/City Center 0.3 mi
6. Turn right at 4th Ave S 0.1 mi
7. Turn right at S Royal Brougham Way 223 ft

Thanks, Dave!

One more set of easy directions for the Southern Contingent:

Driving Directions to Qwest Event Center Garage
Royal Brougham Way & 4th Avenue South

From I-5 northbound, take the 4th Avenue South exit ( EXIT 164B ). At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto 4th Avenue S. Take the next right onto S. Royal Brougham Way. Just past the railroad tracks the garage entrance is on the right hand side. The Scion Mob will be on the top floor...

Some pretty pics from Google Earth...

See everyone at the Tacoma M&G location for the convoy north!

For those who would like to see this in google maps, here's a link to the directions from the Tacoma M&G to 4th and Royal Brougham in Google Maps:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...e=UTF8&t=h&z=9

Should only be about a 45-50 minute drive, and since the garage doors open at noon, whoever is leading might want to consider adjusting the leave time from Tacoma - maybe we should get some coffee and snacks to tide us over, eh? :D
