Scion Night in Vallejo, CA
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=129554
I went to the first one, it was a lot of fun. It's in Vallejo, CA which is right near San Fransisco. It takes about 14 hours to drive there.
It's on Friday, September 15th at Marine World.
Just keep an eye on the thread if anyone is interested in going. They will post more details later.

If it weren't on a friday I probably do it.. Maby as the date gets closer I will either take the day of or call in sick ha ha 'cause i have always wanted to do this show
I think the first year, Dave and I left on Thursday and took our time. I think we stopped in Redding the first night. Then we woke up early on Friday and drove down to Vallejo so we could wash our cars. Then we met up with a bunch of other people.
Then on Saturday, there was a BBQ so we went to that. We made it back to Wilsonville before stopping. I had to leave early to make a golf tournament by noon.
If you can take two days off (Thursday and Friday) then there will be plenty of time to take it easy. If you can't. Just leave after work on Thursday and make it as far as you can. Then wake up early the on Friday and get down there. I think the show started at like 4 or 5 or something. I don't know what they are planning for this year yet though.

It was fun last year... but depends on if you are in the "Show" or not...
only a few cars get to park in the park and "Show"
It's pretty much park in the parking lot, walk it once or twice and enjoy a free marine world for a while...
12 hours for a free amusement park.... hmm... not this year...

I would like to make this trip, could be fun. Will have to wait and see how the funds play out over the next couple of months. Checked on a room at the Best Western that is near there and it was 99 a night for 2 queen beds and up to 4 people, maybe get a few peeps together and share the expenses.
I'll be heading to Marine World again this year... probably north instead of south though
Hope to see at least some of you there.
Come on Tim you got a trophy last year, don't you want to see if you can take another???

Bump.
I think I am going to go. Right now, my plans are to leave EARLY Thursday morning (maybe 5 or 6am) and drive straight there. It takes about 15 hours without stops. I am planning on getting into Vallejo around 10:00 on Thursday night. Then I will be able to relax a little on Friday morning and get the car washed.
So if anyone wants to do that with me, let me know. I'm planning for minimal stops too. Once probably in Vancouver to fill up with gas (so we don't have to stop in Oregon). Then there is a Chevron just past Oregon that we usually stop at. Fill up again there. Should be able to make it to Vallejo on that.

I'm working on getting a trailer for my truck to get the car down there (As I'm not going to drive it 10 hours with the new modifications).... I may have to leave later on thursday and drive through the night... It tells me around 10 hours from my house... so, I say 11-12 with my truck and trailer. It's still up in the air, as my job stuff I won't find out until monday, and if no job there, I still have to figure it out.
I'm planning my darndest to be there, just having to push things really close to get everything on in time and everything arranged in time to make it happen.
