Well, I just got back to town and uploaded all my pics onto photobucket, now I can relax after I get done here. I want to start by saying thank you to Darren and the staff at ScionLife for this opportunity to even enter, let alone win a contest like this. We all had a great time.
The resort is one of the finest that I have ever seen. I arrived at around 12:30pm Monday, got checked in and went to find my room. I had a cottage that was seperate from the hotel, it had 4 units in it. After getting settled in, I went for a walk around the grounds, checked out the two cars they had on display (pics in link), and went back to my room. I met up with the other winners in the lobby later on and we sat and chatted, got to know one another. Then it was time for cocktails on the green, followed by dinner fashion show and an invite-only after party, which was near impossible to get into. It was so packed that it was a one out, one in type of thing so we all couldn't get right in.
Instead we went into the lobby where we ran into one of the Scion Corp guys who we had talked to at the cocktail party (geesh, I'm bad with names). He called us over and introduced us to all of the corp. and district reps that were sitting there in the bar, remembering each of our names and where we were from. Now here I have to say that these ladies and gentlemen treated us like we were the celebrities there this week. They wanted to know what they could do to make our stay better, wanted to hear what we thought they should do to the cars, our input about what we wanted to see in them, was told that we were the voice of the consumer and what we said counted, so Karin said she wanted a pink xB, lol.
One guy told the cocktail waitress that we were VIP and whatever we wanted was on him. When someone mentioned that we were having trouble getting into the private party he went to the door and told them that we got in, no matter what! Now that is first class. I was burnt out and didn't make it, way too crowded and no sleep the night before, so it was off to bed for me.
Tuesday was continental breakfast before heading out the TPC of Scottsdale, home of the FRB Open for some hack golf, lol. They had box lunches packed and ready for everyone. It was a four man scramble format with some added rules, you could add distance to one drive by throwing the ball for more yardage, or something like that, and some others that I didn't pay attention to, I just wanted to play golf. Had to wait for Mike Jones to give an interview from his cart before we could get out on the course(he was in front of us), but we did make it out.
Had a pretty good day, hit some shots good and some bad, we played Jason's shots the most, lol,but we all contributed. Then it started raining, then sun, then rain, sound familiar? I said, "hey, I'm from Washington, this doesn't bother me", then it starts to hail, here is where I tell you that our carts had no front windscreen and the wind and hail were blowing into our faces, time to head for the clubhouse. We did go back out after it quit hailing but now we were stiff and cold, we did get all but two holes in and missed the last bus back to the resort so they had to call a private driver to drive us back with some hiphop producers.
Then it was off to the dinner and awards banquet. Had a great meal both nights and it was cool seeing all the hiphop people out, Danny Cass, Olympic silver medalist in snowboard was there with the group from Boost Mobile. I didn't know anyone, but it was still cool, and when the Scion corp. people found out who we were they were all over talking to us, how cool is that with all the celebs in the house, we are getting any attention.
Met Mark Templin, the vice pres. of Scion and he gave a list of our names to someone, who gave it to Grand Master Flash as he was DJing the show and he gave shouts out to us during one of the songs. Well, its been a long couple of days. I will post a couple of pics and the link to the rest and will be posting this in off forum also, check that out as the others who were there are doing the same.
sorry, the pics for some reason are all small so I will fix tomorrow morning and post them up.

why yes it is! guys I want to tell you that scion did the same thing for me at snowshoe here In January, This corporation really knows how to treat there coustomers. And the good thing is that none of it is a fake or facade they actually want to here what we have to say. It really is a family and they take care of you even when you are down and out I can't really tell you how much they have done for me personally I feel like I have four more people in my family they treat me so good sometimes. Scion really knows how to throw a party and get you into places they want you to be. Your limited scion gear looks awsome ! golf ***** I would love to see that windbreaker more pictures of that!
nothing against it, just don't know any of them by face or name, and I never watch mtv anymore, not that I don't like it, but its always some reality show, hardly ever any videos like it was when it started, oops, dating myself now, lol.
