Probably won't hear anything for awhile either. They did this last year as well.

After 3 years, you would think they would learn from their mistakes and plan ahead. It's annoys as hell. Look at Fatlace last year, they planned way ahead of time. They knew exactly what to do.

I talked with Justin with Scion(who organized Scion dVIP the past couple years) at the Mt. St. Helens cruise earlier this month and he said Scion was wanting to do dVIP again and that they were going to try to do more than 50 cars this time. He said the big Scion tent takes up a lot of space and thats why they had been limited to only 50 Scions and this year they may try to not have a tent so they can have more Scions. He said that he would be talking with the staff of Evergreen Speedway to try to have more Scions. Justin also said he would welcome any ideas for this years dVIP to be able to have more Scions and/or any other things for us Scion owners. He said you can email the ideas to nwscionevents@gmail.com . I told him that if they get rid of the tent, they should see if they could use part of the horse arena building that is right there in the parking lot of where the car show is instead of the tent and I also said that it would be great if Scion did there own car show again for only the Scions. He liked those ideas. You all should email him your ideas on how to have more Scions and/or what you would like to see at dVIP.

^hmm I talked to one of the other scion reps yesterday and he told me they were not going to be doing it. He said they had done several other smaller events and killed the budget. I hope they do it...but I also understand why if they don't either. At thus point I am just greatful to have gone in the past. What I think are not seeing here is that there has not been a Subaru D-VIP, or Nissan D-VIP, etc. we should be thankful for what we have gotten/ get...not mad because they dont want to fork out thousands of dollars for people that already own their cars...

Kanchi - that is a great way of putting it. Either way I am going to go 'cause I love the drifting races & experience

Scion taking care of me was a great benefit and I cannot have expectations of Scion to provide this entertainment to me every year. Scion has taken damn good care of us in the past and with the way the economy is and the sadness of what happened in Japan, I wouldn't blame them and or fault them for not giving us the ability to go to the races.

I will always represent Scion as a brand, whether or not they are hosting events for us.

Agreed. Although I will say, it wont be the same at FD without it. Even though my XB is history, I was looking forward to going, it was always such a good time. It just wont be the same...

I contacted Scion Regional about this and this is the response..

Hi Ashley!

Unfortunately, Scion is not doing anything with Formula Drift in Monroe this year. It was definitely a fun event last year and it was cool to see so many of the Scions that I don’t get to see as much here in PDX!

Hopefully once the FR-S comes out they will again though!

Thanks!
Nicki
