That is correct - the word I have from Kathleen at Scion is the parking lot on NE 8th between Flanders and Glisan appears to be the lot Scion has set aside for our use.

(Just noticing that getting there from I-5 Southbound is a technical challenge - as getting from place to place in Portland usually is.)

 

With the majority of parking being 2 blocks away...If anyone has gone to this type of event before, will there be anyone "watching" our cars?
Only concerned because we put so much love in to our cars and so many in one place might attract some ill intended attention.

Disclaimer, I know my car isn't safe anywhere.

 

Per event staff they say they understand our concerns about our cars, and do try to pick safe places for us and our cars, BUT they generally do NOT have someone watching the vehicles...

With this being said, I wonder if any of you Portland people have a younger Brother or know somebody who would'nt mind earning some "CASH"... I know I would love to pay somebody $5.00 to watch my HOTROD and so if everybody paid $5.00 somebody would probably do pretty good... Just a thought

If someone does show up....I would recommend it to be a "Suggested $5 Donation" to the said individual. That way people don't feel like it's a pay to park set up.
On the flip side...we could turn it into a M&G/mini-carshow in the parkinglot. Show Scion how it's done.
My xB is a little bloody, bruised, and not much to look at right now, but I wouldn't mind showing it to like-minded people.
