Default Seattle Scikotics Redhook ale day trip

I'd like to set up a day run to Red hook ale in Woodinville. Maybe in July after the fourth.
The tour is fun and there are samples thus the 21 & over thing.
Columbia Crest winery and Chateau ST. Michelle are right next store and across the street we could do their tours as well. Some of the tours have a small admission price [under $10.00] The grounds at Chateau ST. Michelle are a sight to behold they are well groomed & provide lots of shade. They also have a really cool fish farm.
I have done all of the tours at least twice, and have enjoyed it very much [except when the Starbucks coffee ale was around, talk about foul tasting]
As I have thought it might be a good idea to post a poll regarding this and future drives, at least the ones posted by myself.
This would half to be a 21 and over day event. As I have stated in the past we would also have a all inclusive event as well in July.

Not a huge fan of red hook, and my opinion of Columbia is that anyone that would let the union of a pedophile and her victim (Mary Kay Latourneau...sp?) take place on their property I have NO interest, but Chateau Ste Michele is a very sweet property and I'd be ALL over going there again!

I would be interested. I love Redhook (drinking it now, in fact...). And there could be some great photos of the cars at Chateau Ste. Michelle.

And by the way, I believe Redhook is only 21 and over after 9:00 pm.

Default setting an example

This is not the way you set an example folks. It is rude and not at all funny.

OK so some of you do not like beer that's cool, since these three places are all with in walking distances from each other you could go to any one of them that you would like to or not. Any one of the three are OK in my book although ST Michelle has the #1 as it is a beautiful place.

Not to start a flame war but hey, most people agree with him. What happened was wrong and against the law. End of story. And now that she got out of jail, this place allows the woman to marry the child that she abused. Also wrong but this time ethically/morally just not against the law. So I don't think he was trying to set an example so much as express his personel opinion.

First of all I do not even understand the comment in the first place.
What link is there to Columbia Crest and MKL?
I think what she did was wrong as well. I just think the comment was uncalled for.
Is ther a link to what happened and Columbia Crest?

OIC. sooooo this place it taboo?
Get over it is not the winery fault.

They offer a fun tour and that's the whole idea.

This is a positive post or at lest it started to be.
I think in the future any negative thoughts that might be had. Please think first of what you write & keep it positive, and lets keep things rolling in that manor.
These are meant for fun, just meeting @ Alderwood once a month in what has been a chilly events Thank gawd for summer!! Is not enough.
I really think more group activities should also be a part of the plan. Things that are both family friendly "since we do have allot of parents" & group friendly.
I do not mind trying to plan things. I am also will to take on the role as VMFIC as I don't think we have one as of yet.

Brad has been talking about a car wash to earn money for his charity "cystic fibrosis". Is there anything going on with that? WE or Brad has put a great but high goal for us as a group to make money weise.

Summer is right around the corner, time to get our "whips" out in the sun & reprosent.
I know that as a whole we do not have allot of "so called" show cars in the group, it still does not mean that we could not have a scikotics show. I know it's kind of a fancy word, but we could do a Concourse event. Cars judged on how clean they are, and or the mods done, weather they were done clean or half assed, Things like that. All cars can be show cars, they do not just have to be in the HIN catagory.

I have allot of ideas and could really make a long post, but I think the idea is for the most part intact.
So lets party!!!!!!!

One thing to consider when planning a cruise to a brewery or winery is someone has to do the driving. Now, I'm all up for a nice drive, and drinking micro brew is always fun to do, but I wouldn't want to mix them. And I know that you are not condoning drinking and driving, but if you end up at a brewery or winery, someone will end up doing both, even if its "just a few", it could be too much. I'm more up for scenic cruises, around the mountains, to the beach, the islands, ect., but yeah, I agree, get some cruises lined up and if it fits my schedule and gas prices come down a little, yeah right, then I would be more than happy to make the drive up and cruise with you guys, yay summer, now where are my sunglasses??

Yeah. My own opinion is that I know some people can TECHNICALLY handle a lot of drinks before they drive, but I'd actually like to see one of those little portable breathalyzer things anytime we do a meet like that. If anyone is even HALF WAY to the legal limit, we'll chill a bit longer before we leave as a group. The most I would have actively in me (not burnt, remember, it takes one hour to burn each individual drink you consume) would be ONE. It should be the same for everyone. Of course, if you come down and you have someone that won't be drinking and you let them drive your Scion... ROCK ON! (Just don't make a royalass out of yourself.)

And to reply to an earlier post by Bruce... VMFIC role has been taken, but I'll let that individual announce it if they prefer to announce it... lol

Apparently this person has issues with "titles" being put out there.

Issues......I don't think I necessarily have "issues" with titles it is more of the expected things that go with titles..... ;)

I like to help and do things but being the individual in the back that steps up is different than the VMFIC that is expected to...... ;) No issues though.....Besides, I know your feelings on it already so it is even less of a deal. I humbly accept the title that was bestowed upon me by you and Jaquetta.

Now as far as any issues go.....I agree with Robbie about the whole drinking and driving but i do think that a tour and ONE drink would not be an issue if we are sitting around and BS'ing for awhile or like Brad said....designated driver and getting plastered if you want. Just know that if you embarass yourself it will be publically known and there will be pictures involved......if there is topless table danicing involved in it, they will be censored but still posted.

Bruce, can we please drop the "issues" with the winery. It has been publically stated that people might or might not have major issues with this place and there is nothing that can be done about that since in their eyes, the winery should not have allowed that to happen on their grounds. This should officially close the discussion about "why not at the winery". If you still want to have a cruise there, feel free to post it up and see who wants to go.

And to clear up, I'm honestly just more of a fan of Chateau Ste Michele. I always though Columbia was a CSM "wannabe" but I got to vent about "taboo" issues
