This is what I woke up to a 730 am on the 1st. Up in the woodinville area.

I love that their are SEVEN official weather warnings for Washington right now, lol.

The big windstorm for tonight/tomorrow is definitely starting up here now. I think us north people are supposed to get the worst of it. But then again, I think that's what they said last time and I was so, so disappointed.

are you talking about last years big storm? I was thinking that Woodinville would be considered north end, but compared to stanwood, no comparison. But my parents lost 24 trees, and those are just the ones we have been able to get up and actually cut up. We keep finding more turcked below the others. And mind you, all of these fallen trees were new from that single storm...

hang on tight though tonight-tomorrow! it will be fun.

If you cant tell, im a bit of a weather freak!

I'm a weather freak too, Trentonm. I read the KOMO weather online several times a day, lol. I also have a crush on Scott Sistek based on his funny weather reports, lol.

Anyhow, I was talking about the few windstorms we had this year but last year too. During the one you're talking about last year (I was out of state at the time), Stanwood hardly got hit. Heck, I don't think the power even went out.

I love wind storms. I have to do my route tonight/morning and nothing excites me more than seeing trees in the road. I'm sorta weird like that, lol.

My mother and i are the exact same. The minute a flake falls, i get a phone call from her. I always get text pics from her about whats going on with the weather up there. I actually never slept the night katrina came in, just because i wanted to see what was going to happen.

In fact growing up, I would watch the weather channel, instead of cartoons, or espn as I got older. And trust me you arent weird, just loving life!!!!

Thats crazy about stanwood though! my parents lost power for 10 days after that storm.

I believe you about losing power for 10 days. My stepfather lives on the Duvall end of the Woodenville-Duvall Rd and was out for about that long too. That area is always getting messed up in windstorms!

You gotta start reading KOMO's internet weather reports. Scott Sistek is awesome!

If you can stay home from work/school, DO IT! Holy crap, even out here on this side of the water, there's standing water on the highways EVERYWHERE! This morning was probably the first real risk of hydrolocking I've ever had in my tC. Nail-biter just to get to the office today. =(

Yeah, I just came home to check my house and my basement is soaked!
One of my coworkers had to rush home cuz he lives in snohomish and the river rose from 9feet at 7 this morning to 15 feet at 1030. The snohomish crests at 17.2'!

They keep saying we're going to get lots of wind, snow and whatnot up in my area this year and each time... almost nothing.

It's breezy here, that's it.

WOW!

Thats all i can say.

I-5 is expected to stay closed indefinitely with the possibility of 5 feet flowing over it. All rivers will not crest until tomorrow which is scary since there are already records being broken in terms of flood stages!!

15" of rain, which equates to nearly 6.5 BILLION gallons of water.

Woodinville and bothell are i state of emergencies, with the major connecting the two, highway 522, washing away.

Highest reported wind gust was 129 in Bay City, OR and 100 in Florence, OR. Washington never broke more than 85 mph.

So to all in the NW, hold on tight we are not through this yet!

Oh one more, Sat night the olympics got 24" of snow, and then followed up wiht 15" of rain! Holy crap!

Also, early reports are possibly showing snow next weekend now, even though are still hitting the 60's tomorrow!
