9 inches of snow by early tomorrow morning in klamath falls. I hope they close the campus... probably not. Already 4-5 inches on the ground.

if its a gas dampener it will be leaking fluid, have a lot of excess play in it. when you push or pull on it from the side it will wiggle excessively.

and it may produce a creaking noise from the drivers side strut tower.

mine is a bushing type. so instead of a gas shock it uses bushings inside of it to retard and dampen engine shock. didn't know that until i disassembled it. i used a set of polyurethane bushings to replace the ones inside locktighted the casing and input shaft.

and its way better than when i first bought it. the style i have is basically like an additional engine mount rather than a gas strut style dampener.

it was an anodized blue ebay torque dampener. cost me 50 dollars. now im glad i bought it because its easy to fix and works great!

i dont know which the ingalls one is. but to rebuild the style i have it cost 2 dollars in parts.

Thanks for the tip, we had the heat gun for doing this, mine only bubbled in one spot and I just put some touch up over it, it's inside the fender, I have some clearcoat too, will do that when I get to adjusting it tomorrow.

yeah those need to be sent to ingall's for refurbishment i believe. i think it
has compressed gas/fluid in it.

if you dont plan on sending it in, tinker with it you may be surprised to find
the problem and you may help other people if you run a crossed a fix.
otherwise send it in to be repaired.

this is a rare time i would say i'm happy i bought an eBay specific product.
other than for the price.

So my tC has about 32k miles. I haven't taken it in for the 30k mile service yet because well i don't want to spend $229+. Should i just take it to the dealer to get the service to put my mind at ease? I do want to keep my warranty if something does go wrong. And I think I void the warranty if I don't get the service.

Didn't get to wash the car, but did do the height adjustment and got the Rear Sway in, and tomorrow at 9 in southcenter firestone I'm getting a the lifetime alignment and my wheels balanced.

I'm really happy with how the car feels right now, still need to perfect the height with a bit more adjustment but that will just take time, otherwise I'm good to go!

this Past Saturday I layed down some sound barrier on the floor pan of the B. next is the cargo area, floor pan and sides, and the doors.

LOOK MA, NO SEATS:

GUTTED:

ME: a little crazy (high) from the fumes..

and yes. that is roofing material. it is a leak barrier called peal and seal ( NON GRANULATED) easy to install, with heat gun. not to heavy, and so far works great. I will know more once the whole car is done.

Problem with the roofing materials is it is not fire retardant,it will burn like mad......

SEcond for the amount of weight you just put in you could of just gotten a Gallon of edead and doen the entire car and it would work much better for $50 total.......and the sound dampening using the roofing material is minimumal compared to actual deadening products.......trust me.....

Get a gallon of Edead liquid form elemental designs and you will be amazed at how easy it goes on and how far it goes
