My SUBWOOFER has arrived.........16ov.2 Elemental Designs D2

Weighs in at 42lbs......is a 15" sub.....and needs about 600w just get to the sweet RMS spot....but will hold like 1100w with proper tuning......

Oh yeah did I mention this is going in a Yaris HB........

I feel much deafer already......

... interesting, im looking into a sub for my tc. Anyone know of/used/heard those shallow mounted subs? do they sound good? worth the money?

depends on the subs involved...you can get some specialty compact subwoofers... i wish i still had the air ratio calculator a coworker gave me when i worked at mackie/loud technologies. it was used to calculate the air volume of a cavity and what different sized ports and how they affect tone, pitch and bass..

ill look around...may have deleted it.

Yeah, if you could find that, that'd be very useful. There's a project I'd like to do for a floating sub enclosure to replace that trunk cover in the tC (the one that hooks into the rear seat head rests). Shallow mounts would be perfect. The ones from Pioneer look pretty nice, not sure on performance though.

sounds like something similar to the speaker bar that matt teske made for since err sence...eeeeer sinced whatever her names tc...dunno if erik ever got that peice?
