The story to Kitsap today (3-1)
Now, let me start off by saying, this was an all and all fun and exciting trip!
I got off work at 5:30pm and made my way to the ferry terminal when I forgot the fog lights were at the house still... thankfully I wasn't in the holding area yet...
After I made my way home and departed back to Colman Dock at 6:10p, 2 lights that were working were now out. Getting onto I-5 and crawled in traffic... finally getting to the 4th Avenue Exit...(6:27p) Unfortunately I turned onto Royal Brougham just as the railroad gates started to come down for a Northbound Freight Train... *groans*
The gates went up at 6:33p and being first in line and having all green lights... I hauled royal tush through 1st Ave. The very brief glance I had inside Qwest Expo was a couple of yellow cars.. looks like vettes and 1 or 2 WRX's but it was a very quick glance.
I got to the ticket booth.. in the wrong line.. at 6:36p, sooo I had to get out, walk over to the booth and pay then park and wait. Good times.
6:45p, was onboard the ferry and got nice in comfy in the warm passenger lounge onboard the Jumbo Ferry M/V Walla Walla...6:53 the capt. came over the intercom announcing that the navigation lights have failed to work and will continue for a few more minutes to get it working.. if not.. they were gonna turn the boat around and run backwards.. which ended up happening. 7pm we were underway and running backwards... the vibration from the screws (props) pretty much put me asleep until we were in the process of turning the boat at Bremerton and the vibration stopped *The line from Finding Nemo rings a bell* "Ok.. good feeling gone"
I departed the ferry at 8:05p and arrived at the dealership to the tune of 8:25ish. I left the dealership at 9:25p for the journey around the horn... the drive was pretty uneventful.. that is until the bridge...30mph across the bridge, some where around 50mph gusts hitting the car out of no where and came in very very close contact with the "guard rail" on the Narrows.. the person ahead of me did actually strike it and got off at the next exit to check out the damages.
After 320th, it was pretty much 70 the entire way.. a stock TCM xB with Puyallup plate frame came up next to me and gave me a big wave.. was that anybody on here? Got off at Midway.
Then at my exit at Swift Ave... a semi was having a hell of a time hauling a good sized generator... between the winds and the weight of the gen. the weaving in and out of the lane got me nervous enough to just about use the shoulder to ensure he wouldn't clip me since he just about had it half way into my lane and the other lane...Arrival at home.. 10:32pm
Not bad for 5 hours

And just to let you know we do appreciate you making that special effort
to go to the meet and greets. When you get there we know its time to start
the party.
Thanks

Lee - Haha, you know the view from up above is actually pretty cool. I didn't realize how bright my turn signals were until I could faintly see the reflection from a couple of cars down below.
Phil - Thanks, it was alot of fun driving around then briefly getting mixed up on my turns. Twas hoping to make it out there a bit sooner to get to the meeting, but Jason filled me in on what I missed and stole a couple of dogs too. Buahaha.
Cya guys this Saturday!

Sounds like fun! my night was kinda eventful! There was emergency repairs on the two lanes for the Highway 16 exit so i got to sit in traffic but then it was smooth sailing to Gig Harbor but then I got sidetracked till midnight and then finally got home at 1am! :-) and now im sleepy!
Sorry I didnt make it out! :-( next time though! i pinky swear

Now since you pinky sweared, you know if you break it we all get to take your pinkies and put them in little finger traps.
I'm glad I didn't take Hwy 16 out there, as I was boarding the ferry I heard about those repairs and traffic was pretty solid from Fife...
