I upgraded a while ago to the Canon XTi with a couple basic kit lens. I'm going to be looking into getting Canon's "L" glass series over the next couple of months and probably a new body as well. We'll see

ya i just went from the canon point & shoot to the nikon d40 & i can tell that you weren't using the point & shoot anymore lol

Haha, yeah. How do you like the D40 so far? Did you get the X model?

Either way, it's a fun camera, I almost got that but the L glass sold me. As bloody expensive as it is, you're pretty much instantly noticed as a pro with that because of it's distinct white lens casing. Blowing $900-1800 on lenses is a bit daunting by oh man the results :D

no just got the d40 - yes the camera is 10x better - haven't broke down & bought expensive lenses yet, but i'm looking at each of them to see what one will be my 1st purchase.. most likely a wide angle lens

Wide Angle is the way to go. I've been playing with my friends Canon 10-22mm.. Wanna talk about a trippy but sweet piece of glass :D

ya Dougzilla has one that i borrowed when we went to las vegas (THANK YOU DOUG) and it took awesome pics so now i want to get one
