I've been to the one in So-Cal and it looks exactly like the one in Japan, based on photos. And yes it is like car mod heaven! Even a lounge with free coffee and donuts overlooking the shop where you can watch the mechanics wrench on your baby. A bit pricey, but a fun hang out.
