Default Things to do in the Portland Region

I'm wondering a list of things to do, eat, and see in Portland this weekend.

I'll be down there from Friday to Sunday afternoon/evening for a wedding and will have parts of those days open for a few hours at a time to roam the City.

I have pretty much everything down and how to get anywhere by the Portland Streetcar or Portland MAX and plan on visiting the new Portland Tram.

I'm looking for great places to eat, more or less sit down would be better
I'm looking for a night club or two as well
I'm thinking about a drive down the Gorge as well. No further than Hood River though then cut across to the Washington side then come back via the Bridge of the Gods.

If anyone wants to meet up on Sunday, let me know! I'm sure me and my girlfriend would love to meet or even see some old Portland faces again!

Highlights include 1,000's of acres of parks. The Zoo, Forestry center, Pittock mansion. Pearl district is now prime people watching and shopping etc. Downtown is a mess with construction right now the busses are off the mall for renovation. My favorite resteraunt is Inda House downtown at 10th and Morrison (have the lamb tika masala its amazing!).

Sinju Japanese Restaurant in the Pearl for Sushi ($$$$ but if its a special occasion..). If you're looking for breakfast its the Tin Shed on NE Alberta. Late night drunk munchies is Roxy's on Stark Street.

Beer is good, Portland likes beer. Rogue Brewery is on NW 14th and Flanders, Widmer is in NE off interstate.

Greek Cuisina is a nice nightclub- if you get there early and have dinner, then you get to see the whole 'show'- it involves plate breaking, drinking uozo, dancing... tons of fun.

Will you be driving your xA?

widmer brewpub has great food, if you venture out towards the gorge, take the scenic route, very nice. I'd hook up with you Sunday but it is fathers day so I may be busy, have fun.

There is nothing to do in Oregon, that's why I am always bored. Just kidding. For a nice place to eat at, I would recommend Silk in downtown Portland. It is a very nice upscaling Vietnamese restaurant. For night clubs, I would recommend Voo Doo lounge, Barracudas, or Barcode. These clubs are all in downtown Portland.

Help that helps

No one has mentioned the Portland Saturday Market (and Sunday, too). Right on the MAX run between downtown and the Rose Quarter. I need to make it vback there for two things I need to buy from the vendors there.

is that the big market right there before MAX goes over the Steel Bridge Tomas?

They have music and a bunch of other things to do there.

To quote..."The Portland Saturday Market is the largest outdoor arts and crafts market in continuous operation in the United States. It is held every Saturday and Sunday from March to December under the west end of the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon."

It's right at the Skidmore Fountain stop of the MAX.

(I need some more spice packs - especially the tandoori* - from Cuisine Mentor, and a specific hat from the Aussie shop...)
