Tires,Tires,Tires
I am about to go buy new tires and rims.......I have picked out my rims and have an idea on the tires I want........
My question is what has everyone around here in the NW used that works good.........
I want a sticky tire, but still need to be able to drive in the rain.......I am torn between Nitto,BFG TA,and Hankook
I am trying to stay with a Speed rated tire with an agressive tread pattern that looks good but also performs......
suspension and brakes are going to be upgraded as well this fall........car is not going to be used for track purpose, but I do like to hit the corners a bit and want a tire that sticks.

I love my Dunlops (SP sports 225/40ZR1 But also liked the Yokohama Parada Spec-2 (also did suprizingly well in the snow, go figure). As far as shopping for tires, www.discounttiredirect.com Always great prices there and they have always mounted/balanced for free @ discount tire locations for me as well!

I am a Nitto fan ever since my Honda days they work well for me but I have not tried the competition or used them on the tC yet to see how they do.
I do know that Firestone tires are horrible.
I'm going to probably get a set of these for the stock wheels for winter. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...d=008806&ar=40

I have always loved Michelins (with the exception of the ones I have on the front now) but they are spendy.
Continental conti-sports are awesome too.
Falken, Hankook and Kumho are awesome for the price.
I have had problems with BFG myself.
Just make sure you get an all-season performance tire (not summer only) and you should be ok. Check tread wear info too as far as hardness (lower the number the higher thr grip-also the faster they will wear) ratings and traction (AA is the best)
If you are in the NW and buying local I recommend Les Schwab only because of the service I ahve received and they fix flats for free and they are all over up here.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Awesome in both dry and wet conditions. Just bought a new pair for the front. The old ones lasted a little over 20k miles, rear tires are still fine...

Awsome help guys I will look at all of the sugestions tonight and compare all of them........this has been lots of help.......I am not too worried about tread wear as I only expect to get 2 years out of a set.......and cost is good as long as they are under 200 each.........I am going to use the stocks ofr winter driving to keep the rims looking good..........
2 more weeks till taz refund gets here.....then a week to get them shipped.......so 4 weeks from now she will be rolling pretty..........
Next question.........18s or 19s..........I am leaning towards 18s but I could fit 19s with the htechs.........but I have heard 19 inch tires ae very spendy compared to 18.........

i would go 18's with the drop you have. not much of a gap per say. also you can get a high series tire and more protection for your rims. you live in the land of the pothole freeways and roads and driveways. so more protection you have the better
