USA Weekend article on cars
So I just got done reading a article on car customization in USA Weekend and the article was mostly about what to buy to customize a car.
But what I wanted to share and never really thought about was numbers.
According to the article, Americans spent $34 billion in one year on "Auto Accesories". If you break that out, americans spent $283 million a month which translates to $94 million a day. (I didn't write the exact numbers, I rounded down).
So I thought I let you all know what we Scion owerns were contributing too.

Shawn, you can't see small dots, can you? LOL
I'd like to see a post on this forum (and stays in this forum) of everybody's past cars that they've put money into. I know Doug used to pull up to my low rider truck with his low rider truck and try to impress me with his bass. You, Shawn, just admitted to spending a lot of money on a past car/s. I'm sure I can dig out a highly embarrassing picture of truck and Kia, lol.

I have had 3 cars in which I have spent tons and tons and tons of money on..
Just alone every car of mine has had 5+ different stereo system set ups ranging from $1000 to $13000. Plus I can never keep anything on my car for longer then a year and I always take it off and buy new stuff. I wished i had all the receipts so I could know how much I have spent.

I've easily doubled the cost of some of my vehicles, including one of my Volvo's, some of my Land Cruisers, and all my MGs
I've been a 'good boy' with my xB, though, and have only spent maybe $1600 on extras for Vanilla. Oops, make that $1900.
(That doesn't count the usual maintenance stuff like all the magic clean/polish/shine poultices, and fancy oils.)
