Default Visiting Portland!

HELLO PORTLAND PEOPLE!!

I will be visiting the area August 18th thru early on the 20th for the first time ever - checking out to see if it's someplace I'd like to move to. I've been thinking about it for almost 10 years, and now I'm taking the first step.

I was thinking about renting a car and then somebody suggested to me that I should find out if any Scion dealership out there would be willing to give me a loaner for a couple days. Good idea! Can't hurt to ask, right? Got a beat-up xD lying around?

I have a ton of things to see - not a lot of time to do it in, too. It's going to be exhausting, but I'm sure it'll be worth the trip! Staying at Hotel Lucia - can't wait!

Chris

P.S. I am jealous of how not-dead your region is! Mine's North - we have tumbleweeds!

OMG! You have to go to VooDoo Doughnut! Hit up either Gresham or Russ Beaverton dealerships, those 2 have been the most active in the community. Welcome (possibly) to the area!

Portland is a great city to live,it does rain and snow and driving during winter suck,it sheets up with ice and you area stuck kinda.......lol

the city has a great scene, great music, clubs, waterfront, restuarants, and other stuff to do,great transit system, plus there is a big Scion community, and within 150 miles there is a lot to do,mountains, oceans, forests, you name it we really got it.

Plus the Scion car scene in the PNW is really big,we actually are about as good as Cali, but in some ways may be better,we got mechanics, and body people, and other people who can do any install for beer and pizza.........we have a lot of big shows, get togethers, and in general lo0ts of fun..........

Hey Chris!! Remember me?? I was your friendly face at Rudy Luther's way back in the day!

I just moved from Portland back to Seattle. I was in Portland for just over three years. It is a beautiful city, and you will enjoy yourself. It is like Duluth, with mountains and much less snow!!

I would try Beaverton Toyota for a car. They have a huge rental department, and they have many Scions in it, so they may be able to help out. Gresham doesnt have a rental fleet at all...

I hope you enjoy your trip, and I would love to see you come out here. Still have the Scion Snowboard? You could use it out at Mt Hood!

Hehe, hi Kelly! Yes, of course I remember you!

I'd love to meet up with you guys sometime. At this point all I know is that we'll be in town at about 1:00 on Tuesday the 18th, and heading out early on the 20th. I want to get to the Pacific, check out the Japanese garden and the giant book store... well I have pages of things I *want* to do... we'll see how that goes...
