Default VTR 2nd Annual food drive

Drop off date change

VTR's Annual Holiday food drive starts Oct 2nd!

Here are the rules: Each forum will be given a designated area for there donations. On November 23rd the saturday before Thanksgiving we will transport all of the donations to the Everett VOA for the weigh in. The forum with the most donations gets on the perpetual plaque in our showroom. Last year we had just under 4000lbs combined for all forums. Lx forums won last year, beating the Subie forums by 2lbs.
Recommended items:

Canned foods
Dry food
anything non-perishalble
Here are some other items recommended on the VOA[/URL] website.

Baby essentials, including diapers, baby wipes and formula
School supplies and backpacks, leading into school
Summer camp equipment and supplies
Holiday toy and gift drive
Shoes and boots - anytime!
Household and laundry cleaners, toiletries and feminine personal hygiene products

This is for a great cause and the VOA last year said we were the 2nd largest non corporate donation brought in.

Time to dig deep and help those less fortunate than us.

Thanks
Wayne

yeah, last year was a busy year with the new baby, but this year i'm gonna do what i can to get some up there! Gonna post up in the Burien show thread for people to bring some, and i'll hit up my work which does alot for Northwest Harvest. This is a great cause! I can be the South end drop if anyone needs, i can take one of our company Vans if I get enough and drive it up there.

Here is an update on the food drive totals.

Subie 50lbs

Evo 30lbs

LX 700lbs (estimate)

Scion 0 (I expect more out of such a giving forum)

SRT 0

Last year we donated almost 4000lbs total, we need to break that record!

^sorry i was out of town So Here's the deal guys. I can be a collector @ the Seattle M&G, N-end M&G, and if some one would volunteer for the Taco & Oly's, we can make them drop offs for the food drive. I know we can do this guys, last year it was basically Mike, Pete, Turner and me...we can do this guys, so remember to bring stuff...ANYTHING to the M&Gs!!!!

So the official count is in... Drum roll please.

LX wins again!
Here are the totals,

LX 1088lbs.
Subies 440lbs.
Scion 103lbs.
Evo 62lbs.
SRT 51lbs.

Thank you very much to all of you who took the time to go out buy food and then drive to VTR and donate it. I know this is not easy and we really appreciate it. Every year your donations help a great number of families have a better Thanksgiving. Next year we are going to be stepping it up and inviting more forums to join in the food drive.

Thanks
Wayne and the VTR crew.
