We Interrupt This Weekend For A Brief Intermission
Scion Lovers (and especially those SE members out there)!
This is a brief intermission from your regular programming for a short pledge drive.
Today SE held a car wash fundraiser to help cover upcoming non-show events to take us through the winter. They may include, but are not limited to:
Drive Away Hunger Food Drive
Scion Community Appreciation Awards
Scion Halloween Party
Holiday Toy Drive
Scion Community Yearbook/Annual
Meet & Greets (we'd like to get to a point where we can pay for bowling, food, games, prizes, etc.)
Scion Evolution Newsletter (weekly email and monthly print mail versions)
Scion Oscar Night
Scion Superbowl Party
Scion Family Days
Install parties/learning days
Scion Evolution Girls Fashion Show
Possible other ideas rolling around our heads (Christmas Caroling, Wine/Beer Tasting, etc)
Membership support for those in need
Those to show up today were: Dustin, Gabi, Kekai, Jennifer, CoreyAnn, Mo, Kelly, Andy, Kathy, Paul, and Rolin (SE Members in bold).
It was a busy place and we got lots of cars....but we needed help!!!! We didn't have enough people to get the work done. We had to turn away cars. And after 6 hours in the hot sun we finally got too tired and we packed up early. We did make $210 for our time there but we could have easily doubled or tripled it if we had enough hands.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP US OUT!!!!
~If you can, try to make it for an hour or two tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 3rd, 9-6).
~Or at least drop by and bring us a couple cold drinks and say hi.
~If you're in the area...why not stop by and get your car washed?
~Or if you know of anyone in the area, ask them to stop by and get a car wash.
We need people to assist with (not all jobs entail washing cars)-
Every little bit helps!!!! Do you need a ride? Do you need directions? Do you need a place to stay overnight in the area. Let us know how we can facilitate people wanting to help out!
REMEMBER - sweat equity is a great way to avoid paying out of pocket for future events!!!
Thanks to those who came today! And thanks to those who'll be there tomorrow!

Jenna,
No worries!!! You are so up north, and with the boys, I wouldn't expect you to make the trek.
I do appreciate and thank the cheers and kudos though!!! That, together with seeing the opportunities coming up for the winter, make it all worth it!!!
