Default What's Been Goin' On?

It's been awfully dead in this here forum. Thought it might of just been the weekend but still, not much going on still.

What'd you all do this weekend?

I cleaned my back deck and freezer. The back deck is covered with that fake grass stuff that had somehow, actually grew real grass in places. It took me about two hours to clean it with the shop vac. Then I emptied my freezer, threw out 10 whole salmon and probably 20 black cod and then chipped all the frost out of the freezer. The fish was probably still good but damn, nobody would take it from me and it was making things taste and smell fishy. I don't do whole fish anyway... and my dad knew that before shipping all that crap down from Alaska for me, lol. I am seafood spoiled.

Yes, that is how exciting my weekend was. I just explained to you, step by step, my cleaning processes.

Next?

My weekend was like Davie, minus the work part. I lounged all weekend and did practically nothing (just like I am right now ha ha). Saturday I went to Alderwood mall and did a little shopping, ate some dinner and came back home and watched Borat. Sunday went to Bed Bath & beyond and bought me a Ice Cream Maker (this thing is sweet). Anyone want some Ice cream??? and then I laid on the couch and watched tv all night.

did the nitrous install on Sat.

Yesterday I ran a new line for the icemaker in our freezer I went with copper instead of plastic this time.

Then I went and sprayed the giant pile of ants in our backyard with ant killer, hopefully they will all DIE!!!

Yum, homemade ice cream! Maybe, whenever I get my money and buy those side skirts from you, I'll come down to get them and you'll have some ice cream for the boys and I?

Doug... want some Black Cod (real name is Sable Fish)? It's not very fishy tasting but more buttery. It's got it's head off and has been gutted.. just not cut up. I can't filet a fish to save my life, therefore, I'm having difficulties eating the billions of these fish I have. I should of asked you if you wanted the Salmon but they just caught a ride with the garbage man.

seattledave, I didn't play with Legos but I sure stepped on them, vacuumed them up and cursed at them. That's a daily thing. Oh, and I did read most of a book... one of the last Amish themed books left on earth (I think I've read them all).

I took my dog to "school" on Saturday, and then went to a friend's on Sunday and ate corned beef & cabbage.

Give me enough notice and I may be able to arrange something like that...

Glad to see that a majority of people so far didn't spend the weekend working on their car (except Doug)

Doug, I'll take that as a no then. Damn! I did take one out to thaw... I'll throw it in the seafood gumbo I'm going to make tonight.

Dustin, I'm jealous of your tree plantings. Those are very beautiful trees!

Saturday, worked. Sunday got the heck outta Dodge, did the Robe Canyon trail from both ends, first the lime kiln and then old Robe. Pretty amazing all the stuff that used to be out there - railway, trestles, junction, a small town - and now there's virtually nothing left. Sic transit gloria mundi.

Saturday I was at Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad in Mineral, Washington getting ready for March 31st and April 7th and regular season operations.

Sunday I went to Chelatchie Prairie Railroad in Yacolt, Washington (just outside of Battleground) for the monthly steam up of the Crossett Western #10.

We had a sort of "last minute planning" St. Patrick's Day party at the pizza place Saturday night with a bunch of old friends who play Irish music on assorted fiddles and drums and tin whistles, etc. Then about 30 or more other friends showed up to listen and sing and drink lots of beer. (Of course, proudly posted above their heads was the autographed Scion banner.... ) We had a great time and most everyone stayed until 11:30 p.m., long after closing. (We even had Noah Star Weaver of United State of Electronica, who is the son of our friends and came along for the fun of old times with the folks.....) Anyway, plans are that it will be an annual thing as long as I get Guinness in the beer selection.

On Sunday I just worked on a quilt I'm making for kids in the Battered Women's Shelter, or whatever they call it.

And thought about my vacation this week. Don't know what I'm doing with it, but I'm on vacation!! :

Didn't do much of anything this past weekend other than get a new coffee maker and a bunch of cooking (Saturday was broiled salmon, here).

Did clean/rearrange a bunch of stuff in the xB, and finally get some new batteries for my digital camera.
