Sorry to hear about your issues with neighbors. It was over 8 years ago, but I absolutely hated apartment living. We rented a house after our lease was up. Have you guys tried that route? I know it costs more, but it was nice having a garage and not sharing a wall with anyone!

But even now as a homeowner, we have issues with irresponsible and inconsiderate renters around us. Sometimes I feel like buying a big piece of land, sticking a house in the middle and enjoying the peace and quiet!

Sorry to hear about this crap. I've been there, done that (e.g. noisy neighbor). The psycho chick that lived below us when we first moved to PDX was a complete freak. Wouldn't leave the house, had groceries delivered. Entered and exited through the rear window. Screams of bloody murder. Stereo turned all the way up at 3:00am. When she first moved in, I swore there was a family of 9 year olds living below us. We'd tap on the wall, or stomp on the floor, and she'd turn the volume up even louder. She'd write threatening notes to US on HER door! There are freaks all over the places. Sorry you;re dealing with one.

To top my day off the cops are gonna do nothing til I get a anti harrassment order...................and the manager is not goign to give me the peoples names to do this due to privacy laws..........so I have to put up with it or move...........but they are goign to let us move to another apartment on the other end of the complex......but I have to come up with the deposit........and it is a smaller apartment to top it off......

Or I can jump out of my lease and get stuck in court paying the remainder.........

I have lived most of my entire life in apartments and this lady tops them all.........

so now I get to rent a uhaul to move all my stuff........gonna need to recruit a few people to help..........gotta pack up all my stuff.......gotta unpack all my stuff........it is like I am being punished for this persons actions.............

The last 6 weeks are really getting to me.............the last 6 weeks have left me broke........had my car not died I would be way ahead........but all the rest of my money had to go for a downpayment........I just have to sell off more of my art collection just to be able to move...........

Not sure if we are gonna make it to the ST Helens run even.........if not I willstill send Tomas with all the food I agreed to bring.........

I really just want to live my life and not be accosted by total strangers who think they need to day trip on me and my family..........at this point I want to crawl in a corner and cry............

is there a name in the police report? If so look it up that way! I am sure the police could tell you their names w/out you having to move dude! BTW how much longer do you have on the lease, if moving going to re-new it?

their was no report filed. The police didn't have it, the office would not give it to the cop. We are just going to have to move to have sanity. Our lease is up Sept. 30th. and yes new apt new one year lease.
So now I have to keep a log of every little thing. The guy under them is blind and deaf, so all he ever feels are the vibrations form the door slamming all night. Zindy

Brian and Cindy...
Just to let you know it's not all that wonderful out here in the country with no neighbors either. Last weekend someone tried to steal gas from my daughter's house out in the wilds and after trying to pry the Subaru WRX gas door off with something (and broke the door) they moved on to puncturing a hole in the gas tank of their motorcycle (all for a few cups of gas). They also cut some kind of line in the bike (not the fuel line) so the whole episode will cost a bunch of money they don't have. Police won't even come out to take a report. It's frustrating. Why can't people just be kind and respectful and courteous and helpful?? Seems like it would be easier to get through life this way, but it's sort of getting worse for some people who prefer to be mean and crabby and screech at everyone.

I'd send you a pizza to cheer you up if it would mail..... Just pretend I guess.

Erik..........here is a great story.........during the custody battle for my son I had to find out names of people that were staying in my sons moms home based on their first names or nick names only..............

I can take your address and if you know what papers in the courthouse to file you can get a lot of private info...........it is called a L.E.S.A Report.........the first thing it can do is give you the copy of a police officers written on site report of every 911 call to that address, every person who dwells in that address.......the leasers name........the co leasers names..........and so much more..........you take the paperwork to the judge who does not much more than either grant or deny your need for the info based on the reason you need it............once you get a first LESA granted.........gettign any other info is easy as you now have a open door to a lot of records

I found the names and records and a lot of other info of all the people that were in her home............I got their housing history at that point as by then I had alltheir identifacation numbers.........and a lot more...........work..........phone numbers........other address's.........a scary amount of info..........

It is scary what info a person can get who knows how to work the system............

I spent my every waking minute for 3 years having to deal with it all............it was very exhausting...........glad it is over..........my neighbor reminds me of my sons mom...............

Sadly I cannot afford to move to a more expensive place like a house.........I have to invest a huge amount of my money to try to replace all the money that was lost getting custody............or I never get to retire.........till I am 80 and can get Social Security.........we lost every penny that I had to get custody.......then had to pay for 3 years to pay back waht I had to borrow on top of it.......although I doubt i will live another 20 years even I would like to think my family can rely on the money to make ends meet when I am gone.

There are times I hate the fact that I work so hard for so long and have so little to show for it..........but I would do it all over again for my son if I had to........

wow I am suprised that this drama is here on SL. What crappy people to live near. Vent all you need its better to vent than to take action and do something that will get you into serious trouble. The internet is a great place to bash others with out fearing what would happen if you did it face to face. I like the old saying arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics no one really wins. Just so you all know I support the Special Olympics and Yes they will be here in Idaho 2009 I just find it a good phrase. Good luck with the problems in the Hood and dude vent anytime you feel the need rather read about it here than in the local paper.

Now that is what I like to see looks like alot of people here on SL are willing to get together and help a fellow scion family out . If I lived closer you could have included me in the moving crew. Best of luck and remember try and keep you cool I know its hard at times just be the bigger person and let them act like the ___ they are.
