Default xB Oopsy Picture and Other Pictures.

Okay, so here is what I did to my xB. I would of loved to blame it on the snow Friday morning but it was all my fault. I was driving around in someone's tight circular driveway and got too close to their center island thing that has a half foot high cement wall on it.

So, as you may or may not see, I scratched through the paint and dug into the plastic and the plastic that was scraped was pushed off into the tire well area.

Now, I can't be driving around with this blemish but I can't be just dropping a huge amount to have it fixed either. Any ideas as to how much this would be to repair or have any other ideas?

I was thinking I would sand off or chip off the misplaced plastic and then just go to town with some touch up paint, for the time being. It won't look good, but better... right?

Okay, now some weathery pictures.

Thursday we had huge hail. It took like a minute to make it look as though it snowed.

And the tree that fell on our house when it snowed so badly up here. It's still there because our chainsaw broke and only got as far as you can see.

And just some other pictures of our front and back yards. Note: the 3 big piles of branches is from the snow storm and windstorms of the weeks previous. Everything else not in piles is from the Dec. 14th windstorm that wasn't too bad up here and the one last night that was pretty nasty.

These pictures don't seem to do the branch problem at our house justice, lol. Thanks for looking and thanks for putting up with all my weather whiney woes.

nice pics jenna, we lost power for about 11 hours this morning.

too bad about your box, I think you should look for someone selling OEM parts that have aftermarket body kits. Ratcity rain (shawn) might have the OEM skirts for his box and I think it's the same as yours.

its the white one that got hurt right??? you could always just remove the side skirts on both sides... and then you'll have monster clearance tho i'm also working on a paint shop down here too... if your willing to wait a bit let me know ;)

It's TCM Kekai, and I think that shawn has his old skirts, but not sure.

Monster truck clearance, lol. Dougzilla, we lost power for about 10 hours too.

Okay... so the piece I messed up is called a "Skirt".

Now what is OEM again? A body kit... I'd have to buy both sides, front and back or could I just get the one side? Any ideas on the cost for such a thing?

So Shawn might have his old skirts, hm? I'm going to cross my fingers and toes that he does and wants to sell them for a good (to me) price.

I'll see what I can find online now that I have the proper term, "skirt".

Thanks the help! I'm so embarrassed. Not only having my car look all wrecked up but also because it screams "Jenna don't know how to drive", lol.

Thanks Doug. I have to go to Rodland or somewhere Monday and get my oil changed, I'll ask them how much the OEM skirt thing is there... if they have them. I'm clueless on where to find such a thing. Guess that's why God made Google, lol. I'll see what I can find in the next few days. Thanks

OEM Original Equipment manufactured... or something like that
consider it a stock body kit
you could buy just 1 for the damaged side... think they are about $200 each already painted

here chrome maybe??
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...7&parts_id=721

coulda sworn there were other sites that had them but they escape me now

Chrome, huh? Do you think that'd look stupid? It looks stupid in that picture but it's not a good picture and not a good match with that particular xB.

Chrome would match my new emblem that came in the mail today though, lol.

$200 for one sounds quite expensive but I guess that's to be expected. Thanks for the research Kekai!

Oooh, you're right, those do look good! Much better shot of them in his profile, for sure.

Well, the link Kakai posted will only let me get the end caps in white. Maybe I can find some in Thunder Cloud... is this something my dealership can order?

^Jenna, you don't want to go through the dealership for parts. You can almost always get them cheaper yourself

^ true that, people practically give them away after they got a bodykit just to get them out of the garage!
