Does anyone know where I can find a shop that can place rivets on my car? Like, rivets that you see on high powered cars/race cars that add strength to metal/frame?

NO, im not making my car into a race car. I need them for other reasons.

 

Aren't those the same rivets that you can get at any hardware store? If not, try Mission Motorsports in Irvine.

can anybody recommend a body shop that does good work at a reasonable price in the 951 or 909? haha! i have a grille that needs some minor fiberglass work done to it.

 

Any other SD recommendations?

 

Any one recommend a good paint/body repair shop around 626 area for dings or anything of that sort?

I parked my car at school one day and came back to a door ding from someone who opened their door and hit mine. Its about the size of a quarter and the paint chipped off

if this isn't the right thread for this can someone redirect me to where I can find some help?

Auto Explosion in Gardena, CA. Do GREAT work. They've done plenty of cover featured cars.

 

quigley's autobody in lake forest they are great at what they do have done many movie show cars, the cars from the first fast and the furious , (ya i know but they had good paint jobs) i will try and look up the number

 

When auto explosion installed my aero kits they used 3m tape on the inside and also used rivets every few inches along the entire kit for strength and rigidity. The shops I've been to in the past wouldn't do this for me, they always took a drill and just drilled in a few screws at the end..... The rivets are all hidden secretly but I'm sure if you wanted this more for show purposes you could speak to them about it...... big ++++ for Auto Explosion in Gardena.

 

Wow some big guns here and it looks like some great shops. Some close enough to drive to but not leave my car with unfortunately.

One thing I did not see addressed (correct me if I am wrong) is if these shops do well with Polyurethane. I need a kit painted. Both front and rear are Poly. I jsut don't want to take it to any shop

However I am sure most of these great shops I see listed will have plenty of exp. with what I need done.

 

James, take it to the Custom Shop in Canoga Park. He painted my Kaminari kit (poly) plenty of times with no issues. He does great work just took 2 awards for his paint work in one of the biggest hot rod shows (he's an old school guy that's been working with hot rods since the 70s).
