3rd Annual Hall *** "The Shop":Street Show at Super KMART - 9/13; Carson
I am posting this to support my friends & who they're helping for this show. So please register &/or at least attend to show some support. I am literally COPY & PASTE from their site. Please visit http://www.hallasstheshop.com/current_news for registration forms & other information.
When: Sunday, September 13, 2009 @ 7am - 6pm
Where: Super KMart, Carson, CA 90745
Also, if you want to be a vendor, it will be FREE if you donate a $50 or more raffle prize.
Again, please check out the site : http://www.hallasstheshop.com/current_news
Straight from the site:
We, at Hall *** “The Shop” in addition with Freaks of Nature and Individual Creations car clubs, are holding a fundraising car and truck show event on September 13, 2009. We are raising funds to purchase new tools, equipment and supplies for Narbonne High School's auto shop program, one of the few remaining auto shops in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
In addition to raising funds for the auto shop program, it is our hope to introduce the next generation of kids to the love of anything automotive and custom - to show them there is something better to do with their time than running the streets and getting into trouble. It is our opinion that we need to get the next generation involved and support the last remaining auto shops out there because some kids aren't the typical book smart kids and they need hands on learning, like my own 15 yr old son. Without auto shop programs in our local high schools, where will the next generation of kids go to learn how to work on vehicles, definitely not in their apartment complex parking lots.

I went to this show last year and had a blast. It was a lot of fun. I was planning on attending again this year, but with the heart attack a week ago and my first complication yesterday, I may or may not make it. Right now the doctor is telling me not to do anything for about the next 4 to 6 weeks. So I will see what happens.
