Default all you animal lovers out there!!!

love your pets?

Then help me oppose HR 669!!!

HR 669 is trying to pass a law to get rid of all our non native animals....

cats that arnt form here, dogs that arnt from here, any animals that arnt native to the US.

Which means, YOU, a fellow pet owner, would have to sign over your pet and would have to put them down due to a stupid law.

Funny part is, Prez. Obama's new "Portuguese water dog", Bo, will have to be signed over and put down as well... I have a feeling he isnt going to pass this law. Power of a president to VETO it! hahahaha!

But please help us.

If you clink this link

http://www.nohr669.com/dosomething.htm

then do something. Email, call, or write sign the letter.

If you do the letter, and print it out, please give it to me....

I will be at the pet expo this weekend as well getting random people to sign it..

My husband knows the guy that will be going to the senate with a wheel barrel full of the letters trying to oppose this!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

Wow, talk about spreading sh|tty information.

HR 669 is about non-native wildlife, NOT pets!
To prevent the introduction and establishment of nonnative wildlife species that negatively impact the economy, environment, or other animal species' or human health, and for other purposes.

Whoever came up with this bill is and has wasted money putting this together. This will never fly even if we try and stop it.

James: We won't be able to vote against it. Typically this stuff is rushed through the Senate + House without a second thought. Only when enough people make a fuss over it do they let us have a say, and very rarely is that an actual vote.

Gesh....

Of course they arnt going to say WORD FOR WORD ''Dogs and cats" becuase then everyone will say NO NO NO on passing this law..

"Anyone with pet fish, birds, reptiles, or small mammals will be affected by this bill. Any company selling product or services for pet fish, birds, reptiles or small mammals will be affected by this bill."

i have tons and tons of reptiles... and "small mammals" a dog is a mammal, a cat is a mammal...

What part of wildlife do you not understand?

Animals that have no home are not considered wildlife, they're considered feral. It is not the same.

People should adopt a pet and not buy your pets from a store any or anyplace for that matter.

Plus do people really think that the prop or whatever will fly almost every dog or cat for that matter is not native to this country. Highly doubt even if this passes by the act of God this will fly. people arent going to put down their pets.

I can see why wildlife would be in the crosshairs. Some people are idiots cuz they buy wild life animals cuz they look so cute when their small then they grow up to be big wild life animals that can turn on you and kill you and people then leave them somewhere to die.

And I hate people who mix breeds or buy mixed breeds cuz they think its cute those people should be shot in their big toe and in the @$$

Fish are ok but there are those stupid people who buy sharks and when they grow to be to big for the owner 2 handle the same thing happens them like almost all other 2 big 2 handle wildlife animals there either tortured until they die or just left somewhere to die.

Fish are not 100% OK. Some species of fish have been introduced to our lakes and rivers that have decimated the ecosystem. I remember the huge Arrowanna craze back in the early 90's. Every Asian household had to have one because of some folklore about good luck... I'm not sure who had the better luck the stupid fish keeper or us making $$$ off of them.

Sadly you are right about when animals get too big for their handlers. Example most sharks in the aquatic hobby that are sold in stores are cat sharks, horned sharks and dogfish. All of these can and should get up to 4 feet but won't because the majority of people end up putting them in something around the 40-150 gallon range.

Funny thing is state wide we already have laws like this. Ever wonder why you can't buy a hedgehog or a ferret in CA? but you can in AZ but you can't bring it over the state line legally? This would be the exact same situation but country wide. It's to protect our native wildlife and to protect their from idiot pet keepers.
