Sorry to sound like a whiny bee-otch, but this is really annoying...
The other night I'm driving home, and I turn left and end up driving behind another Xb. I'm not following too close, and neither car is going very fast--but the guy in front of me starts tapping his brakes for no reason at all so I kind of back away and try to change lanes. As soon as I do, this guy whips over in front of me. Everytime I go to pass he cuts over. ---keep in mind that all of this takes place at barely the speed limit.
I really started to get ____ed, especially with my 10month old daughter strapped in the back-and only an idiot drives aggressive with a baby- so I kept it safe and slow. Eventually the other Xb get along side, and 4 superdorkass guys all give me the finger, and roar their engine--so I just pulled ahead and drove on.
The really sad part is that I think that they were really trying to race and then pull ahead of me, and were irritated that their car couldn't do it- so they kept cutting me off. My car is not that modded- intake, exhaust, etc., etc., but nothing that could hope to make this engine really faster. These guys were seriously trying to race tho!!! Neither car broke the speed limit by more than maybe 5 over!
I've heard from a toyota tech that some boxes are just doggedly slow, even when the dealership cant find any thing wrong with the car, but this was just too lame. This guy was going all mad hell on his car just to get 5 over!!
I saw a thread on here where somebody asked if scion owners wave to eachother, but I seriously get the maddog eye more than anything from other Xb drivers(all roll stock that do this).
Anyways, To the geeksquad type guys, rolling thru Cerritos in their silvergrey box, on coverless black stock rims--dudes, that is just sad. Seriously.
Anybody else get this crap from people?

 

yeah, the scion community has changed a lot it used to be, you see other scion owner you will smile to each other or wave and if you were at a light talk now.. you get the finger

Now.. we have this little kids who still live with mommy trying to race any one they see with no respect towards others I see it all the time

 

yeah its f**king annoying. thank God i dont have kids yet cause i usually snap back at them lol

i still wave at scion members and most of them wave back. its rare that i get HIT on the street.

 

I have XBs racing me all the time for some reason. What the hell are they hoping for? I really like them, would never drive one...if I did, I'd know which car to race and which to leave alone.

 

i'd wave at other scions, no matter what model, but i too get looked at like im wierd. so far in my 4 months of driving my tc, ive only chatted to one person driving another tc once! he was kool, wish everyone else was like that. as for trying to be raced, civics are plentyful to challenge me...

 

dont race people on teh fwy..thats just irresponsible.

on the other note...sti owners like my car for some reason they always wave n honk

 

i wave to nobody, you do your thing and i'll do mine. simple as that.

 

 

Don't get many waves from fellow Scion owners. I do get some looks every once and a while though.
