Default BATTLE OF THE SCIONS!(POSTPONED) read for updates!

OK Guys you asked for it so now you got it.
Team Revoluscion is hosting battle of the Scions at irwindale speeday. This is a team event with the ward going to the team with the best racer overall.

The event will begin on......January 15th 2009 and continue until April 2nd 2009

Just pay the initial track entrance fee at the gate, then come and sign in at the Revoluscion team vehicle to get your spot in the competition of a lifetime.

Here are the rules for the event..........

Scoring will begin at 5:30pm so get your practice runs in.
Every participant will be asked to sign a rules form in order to compete. This is a Best of the Best, with the award going to the team not the individual.....................

Rules For All scion Drag Racing Competition, Sponsored By Team Revoluscion

$5 entrιe fee will be collected at the beginning of the competition and will allow you to compete for the entire 12 weeks, this will cover cost of team trophy awarded at end of competition.

All races shall be done Bracket style on a three point system.

• Cars will not be categorized between induction methods ie. Turbos, superchargers
o There will not be specific classes for cars ie. XB, TC, XA
Races will be done head to head and the point system will be broken down by time, not by direct win.

Point system will be as follows.
Possible three points per race

• 1 point will be given for best reaction time
• 1 point will be for best track time within the initial given track time.
• 1 point will be awarded for virtual win ie. Based on track time who would place first according to time slip

*BEFORE RACING BEGINS, COMPETETORS MUST ENTER A ESTIMATED TRACK TIME. THIS TIME WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE WINNERS OF RACES AND BEST TRACK TIME.

• Competitors will void all points possible to other racer if a foul on that racer is given ie. Jumping the green
• Racers whose estimated track time more than 0.5 seconds slower than there best run will be automatically changed and that racers will forfeit the points for that race if a spotter believes they were sandbagging.
• Any racer accused of sandbagging will be judged by a designated spotter in any case. If it is deemed that the racer was sandbagging he or she will lose all point accumulated for that day and will not be allowed to compete for the rest of the runs on that given day.
Points are on a individual basis a winning team will be decided after 12 weekly sessions.

*Any racers who wish to go heads up, must agree on this before the race begins. Once this has been agreed on, the racer who comes in first regardless of track time or reaction time will automatically receive all three possible points. Unless there is a foul at take off.

• All competitors must turn in there time slips for review after each race in order to be scored accordingly.
• All competitors must follow all track rules in order to race.

In the rare case if a virtual winner cannot be chosen the race will end in a draw whereas both racers will receive ½ point.

Basically, dialing in a time slower than the car is capable of. Since bracket racing is based off matching your dialed in time, sandbagging allows the racer to slow down at the end of the 1/4 mile and cross the line just before the opponent, since bracket racing is meant to have both cars cross the line at the same exact time.

So is this going to be anything goes? are slicks going to be allowed? is gutting out your car going to be permitted? I know most of us clean out our trunks completely, but I mean gutting out your rear seats, door panels, etc... I think we should be clear about all of these things before the competition starts, that way there will be no ?'s later. If anybody can think of any other things this is the time.
