i worked at cerritos bb.

FYI: each bb is getting a minimum of 26 PS3 units. there will be 6 - 20 gb PS3s and at least 10 - 60 gb PS3s.

we're letting people camp out 24 hours in advance. the one in cerritos is opening at 8am that FRIDAY so if you want, the earliest you can start camping is THURSDAY 8am, any earlier and you will be asked to leave by the security guard(s).

:] good look everybody!

[answers to the questions in advance: NO i cant hide one for you, NO i'm not working that day, NO i cant get inside my work early to get you one, NO i cant ask my coworkers to save one for you and NO i cant tell you how many exactly cuz i can get fired, YES they can find out if i give out the numbers secretly, cuz big brother is watching over me]

like spECial said; they will hand out tickets an hour before the store opens.

oh and bb employees that are working that day CANNOT buy/hold/hide the PS3 so its a fair game for everybody.

hahahahahaha! silly lady!

tell me how the camp out goes. my buddies from Signal Hill bb just told me that there are about 30 people outside with tents starting to camp out.. little do they know that their car will be towed at midnight tonight cuz they can only camp out 24 hours in advance! hahahaha

however, i've been hearing that target/toysRus have no rules for the campout and i heard from customers yesterday while i was working that people have already been camping out..

crazy ...

yea, that is crazy. im not familiar with the camp out thing. are peeps infront/side of the store?

so when regular customers come in from day to day, there like "wth"

30 peeps in line???
do they not know that there isnt 30 ps3's?

if i pull up at a store and there is more than 20 peeps, im off to the next store.

well, if you check out the bestbuy ad from sunday. it shows the prices of the 20gb and the 60gb, if you read the super fine print at the bottom of the pictures, it tells you a store minimum.

but check this out. they will hand out tickets. but looking at what happend last last year with the x360, if you are number 30 (assuming they only have 26 at the bb or store you are at) you still might have a chance! 1 out of 10 customers who have a number.. will not actually buy the unit! why you might ask?

well.. there are some really shaddy/messed up people who are willing to do ANYTHING to stop others from buying one. on the x360 release, people were caught walking around with powerful magnets trying to scramble up other customer's credit/debit cards.. some tried stealing people's money while they were sleeping/napping and some even tried making counter-fit tickets! LOL its like the *****-wonka golden ticket all over again! and some people got so excited for the system release that they actually forgot to bring money or didnt have enough.

so umm.. keep everything in your front pocket!

its the highschool lab magnets. you know, the horse-shoe looking kind? its not the weak magnets that you put on the fridge, its the powerful ones.

for example; the bestbuy in cerritos. inside all of our cds/dvds we have these little metal strips inside the cases. when you get rung up, the cashier will slide the item across the table several times (or place the items in a certain spot) and you'll hear a *beep*. the reason why is cuz under the counter, there is a magnet that will deactivate the security tape inside the case. anyways, if you were to place your credit card onto that portion of the counter long enough.. your credit card will get all scrambled cuz it has a magnetic strip on the back of the card.

a magnet like this:

one of the workers was walking past a register where people were waiting in line. when customers wait in a long line, they sometimes take out their credit in advance to hold onto or take out their wallet. anyways, the worker noticed this middle aged man getting alittle too close to the customer in front of him. the worker thought he was trying to steal the credit card so he called security, the line was put on halt and they told him to empty his pockets, inside was a huge horse-shapped magnet wrapped in a brown napkin. the person in front of him was waiting in line with a x360..

shaddy ish .. shaddy ish ..
