Default Crazy weather for LA area = poor conditions to wash/claybar

whats up with the weather here in LA,

first its a severe heatwave 100+ degree days and 80+ degree nights for a week
now when the heatwave is gone, its 80 degrees outside but the winds been kicking non stop,
its like a hurricane is approaching, but the suns outside and there are no clouds.

I cant even sit outside without sand and dirt flying in my eye, which equates to no waxing or claybar...

on my way to super autobac the 210 freeway had brown air because so much dust was kicked up constantly.

darn crazy cali weather, wont make up its mind

yea Im bummed out because this was my day off, and I had plans to finally get around to claybarring the car, went to pick some up today.

I thought the winds were gonna be for a short while, but theyve just gotten stronger and stronger,

tommorows supposed to be all clouds and gloom in the 70s, and today its 80 and no clouds but 1000 mph winds. Im tempted in washing the car, but Im afraid it'll get caked in dust a few seconds later,

this morning I dusted the car, went in for 15 minutes went back out to move the car and BAM.. full layer of dust over the entire car.

my BSP is looking like brown powder because of the heavy winds here in the San Fernando Valley.

All this talk about claybarring reminds me that I need to do that to the Marshmallow... driving a white car around for 4 years one can really notice how much brake/rail dust the average car collects.

I washed, clayed, and waxed my car today. I managed to snap a couple shots but literally 5 seconds later it started pouring rain....sucks.

I claybarred my car yesterday and it rained today, I thinkm it was acid raing too, because my car has these dirty brown spots all over now, but snapped a pic before out in day light.

Id love to see the pics, you were able to snap before the rain also!

Same thing out here in Riverside.
Last week it was 100+ for a while, dance practice at night was hell. Wearing shorts and a t-shirt at 2AM, and I'm still sweating, just standing there.

Dust storms blowing everywhere; my allergies were hating the weather.

Now, this week has had nice days, but freezing nights. I'm wearing sweats and a sweater at practice and I'm still cold.

And what else?
It started to rain this morning, but then it was nice and sunny for a couple of hours.
Then, it started pouring cats and dogs, and a thunderstorm comes into town. Lightning would strike just down the street, and the thunder would crack just a second later.
Some trees around here fell from the lightning.

Oh, we had a surprise guest as well.
In the city next to me, a tornado whipped up!

I don't think SoCal and tornadoes are normally associated..

What's up with the weather?
Feels like the world is coming to an end, lol.

the rain has finally subsided, so I decided to wash all the brown spots from the car, Im really thinkin its acid rain, because normally its just water spots from regular rain. But today it looked like I took my car out and splattered mud over it.

Plus the rain totally ate away all the wax on my car I put on prior, because when I washed it, the water didnt bead but left a sheet or puddle on the hood.

So after washing spent 2 hours rewaxing the car just 3 days later...

^x2. With the exception of the wax being eaten away.
