Default Does anyone know anything about this TC? For sale in OC

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ctd/927653842.html

I went to check it out only to find out there isn't a turbo. There is a turbo timer, oil fuel and boost gauges and other misc. pieces that lead me to believe there was a turbo in it. I just want to know if anyone knows the previous owner of this vehicle. I may be interested in it but don't want to put myself in a situation where the car that I'm buying has hidden problems. I was also looking into their other tc too for my wife (she needs an auto, I need a manual). And to end this thread.... I'm looking for two tc's. I have an open mind but one needs to be manual and one needs to be auto.

It's at a used car dealership though. I asked about it and he had no idea. I think it was probably some type of trade in.

i know that car and who owned, yes the car was turbo'd with a greddy turbo kit and ran smoothly without any problems from what i know. he traded the car in as it is in the pictures for something else, he had a full ED drifter2 bodykit but he sold the front bumper only and he left the cf hatch with the apr spoiler on it because he sold the stock hatch over a year ago. i know that the car has a TRD clutch and B&M shortshifter, i'll post up some pictures of what it looked like before with the front bumper and FMIC.

Thanks a bunch, I really do appreciate it. It is a good deal though? Should I buy it? I would love to see pics of it and if it was in good condition when it was sold. Also, how hard would it be to get it boosted again? What would I need?

Thats a pretty good price. You can probably bargain and get 500-1000 off. And plus you will be ahead with your mods haha.

even if the guy granny drove the car, do not buy it. the first rule of thumb when purchasing a used car, is never buy one that has already been modified!

dude there is no point in checking it out. do not buy it period. move on and look for something different. please take my advise, do not make a bad decision because you feel it is right financially! this car will never be the same after being turboed. buy something stock and make it "your own"

Well, I think I'm going to end up passing on this car. If anyone has or knows anyone who has a manual or auto TC or a 350z etc for that matter let me know.

DO NOT BUY THAT CAR!

there is no such thing as a sport package for the tc. also, you have no idea howe well that car is running, people don't turbo cars to baby them.

also, big thing here, aftermarket steering wheel, that means he removed the airbag, which means that in order to get that car to pass inspection, you gotta buy and install a brand new one!

so if your looking for a daily driver, no, this car is not for you since it can't pass inspection, but if your looking for a project or track car, yeah, get it.

i already talked to him and told him how the previous owner took care of the car and what exactly was done to it from what i remember. this thread should get locked down since he said that he wasn't going to get for several reasons which i will not address so please don't bother asking me.
