Default Does anyone race at Qualcomm on Friday nights?

Racelegal.com hosts racing at Qualcomm stadium on Friday nights. Does anyone on here go?

I know at least one tC owner races. I've seen this car around Clairemont (SD) quite a bit too.. Are you on here?!

http://www.racelegal.com/site/images..._06/index.html <-- Link to pics from Oct. 6th. It's one of the last pics..

I wanna go just to see, but I'm always working on Fridays..

I used to race there with my old car Joe. And go all the time, but just haven't been inspired to attend anymore since it is a lot of the same cars.

Anyways, most of the time you just race the guy next to you or in front/behind you. BUT you can tell the guy that you want to race someone, just be next to each other in line and they have no problem letting you go.

If you do plan on going, just be sure to go early, like when the gates open, so you can get through tech fast and get a lot of runs in. You get a wrist band so you can leave and come back, if you want to get food or something.

Hey, what's involved in racing there.

Cost, Helmet,...anything that someone would NEED to know before they got there?

I think it's like 20 bucks to race for the night. As much as you want.

http://www.racelegal.com/site/requirements.htm
pretty much..

But you DO need a DOT & SNELL approved helemt now, they started it this year. And the price to race now went up to $25 prior to race day and $30 day of. And it's $5 pre-sale $8 day of to watch :/

I don't think they're having race legal all this month. Last week was a no go, this week, it's not scheduled and next weeek is a no go either. Canceled for month of October.

Welps....just came back. And it must've been an Evo meet or something. Many o' Evo's there tonight. Many Civics, Integras, Mustangs, and Cameros as usual. Couple fast cars and bikes.....no tC's though, usually there's one or two running.

I left around 8:30 and there weren't that many cars running and both tracks were up so racers got a lot of runs in. Not that many cars caught my eye but, a couple of the Pann Auto guys were there running their cars, a H22 powered right-hand drive 2nd gen. Prelude and a Mazdaspeed Miata. Also there was a drift-spec S13/Sil-80 conversion, trubo'd Kouki S14, and turbo SW20. Other than that, ehh...normal stuff...to me at least

We should have a Scion night where we just take over an event. haha just a though.

Oh yeah, here are the 3 pics I took...Didn't want to waste precious finger to button pushes on stock WRX's, Evo, and ghetto looking but fast as doo doo other cars. Pics are mostly self explanitory :

That shed looking thing is the timing tower..it's in between the 4 burn-out boxes

Yeah check from that point up, most of the other stuff below that are RWD cars and purpose built cars.....As far as I know you don't need a shut off switch.

The announcer was saying last night that if you are running nitrous and crash, just turn off your bottle and run like crazy. haha :p
