Coming home after a long day... driving through gnarly puddles (concerned about the CAI for a sec) I noticed my ABS and E-Brake light came on and stayed on. When I pulled into my driveway... i turned my car off and back on again to see if they'd go away. But they didnt! Help? Anyone? My brakes are fine...recently changed pads in the front and rotors all around.

seems like everyone is having this problem now... kinda scares me. i think its the the cold and the rain that is making our cars sick with warning lights.

 

gah i hate the weather swings. i would say the water tripped a sensor

My car hasn't been having any problems.

 

Just the water, in the morning should start up fine as long as you didn't hydrolock.

Wires get wet, sensors starting going off.

Thanks everyone. I'll let you know what happens when I actually wake up and get out to my car. I'd be bummed cause I just picked up my replacement axleback....and also had my s pipe put in the day before yesterday haha

 

My car started...and both the ABS and BRAKE lights don't go on anymore......


Now I get a CEL!!!! I was thinking its possible it could be from the 02 Sensor for my S Pipe....but I drove around for a whole 2 days without the CEL.

I'd hate to F-ing do it....but I don't know anyone with a OBDII Code Reader.... I think I have to go to the dealer

Doesn't Autozone have something that gives you the code from the Check engine light??? (I could be making that up since I'm not fully awake yet, but I could have sworn I have heard they have that......)

 

autozone will read the code for free. you probably just need to reset your ecu

Went to the STOP-TECH pad.... they handled it. All is good. Stupid rain

Glad everything is ok johhny. LOL @ you guys and the rain. Believe it or not, people drive tC's in rain and (gasp) snow! LOL!! I went to college in Michigan so this weather is nothin!
