If anyone has an extra plastic engine shroud cover please let me know. I need to repaint and mine is too messed up..

 

I would pay for it I was thinking maybe those that now use a CF cover or other than the OEM

Way back in Nov. 06 when I got the egg it was my fist paint job ever. So not knowing what the hell I was doing I put like a cake of primer and wen it waived I tried to fix it and mess it up more. So I just finished the job and left it like that. Not many really noticed but to me it's really messy. and now I already committed since I started to sand it.

Just looked at it and realised I would have to sand it allot and would end up sanding down the VVT-i as well to get it done right I just thought it would be good to start fresh..

 

get a sander and sand it down

plastic shouldn't take more tahn 10 minutes if you are careful

 

honestly, sounds like you were rushing when doing these projects

you can never rush when painting man, it's really easy to mess up.

 

LOL, well I said "it was my 1st paint job".. it was back in Nov. 06 ..... I am very good at painting interior plastic now that I know what to do..

I have to muster up the willingness to do this. It's allot more work that I want to do. Much easier to start fresh and not lose the VVT_i emboss ..

 

Partially cause it's so damn hot in LA right now. I can't even site and do nothing without sweating..

Hi all, well I still have not gotten this yet and wold REALLY love to put a cover on cause it's bare right now. I tried fixing my mistakes on the cover I have only to make it worse by sanding WAY to much Just not fixable on my own. So please doante your extra shroud!!!
