Default first mod...

... wasn't the tc built by listening to a lot of customers wants?

then why is the shifter so fning tall? like a Z31 tall.

Anyways, less than 12hrs of ownership of my '08, the shifter was cut down to size. literally.

1. Remove ****.
2. place large bag and non-flamable towels around shifter.
3. use cut-off tool and cut 1" off of shifter.
4. install momo shift ****, acquired from previous vehicle.
5. enjoy free mod.

Seriously, like 300% improvement. I don't recommend anyone doing this (cutting your shifter) unless you have a momo shift **** that has set screws that screw onto the shaft of the shifter (vs. a screw on ****). You could cut it, then have a shop thread it... but i didn't want to remove the shifter. No pictures... cause I'm lazy.

next mod, Nav. then, rear sway bar, then bolt-in rollbar ($400 from IOPort) so I can run track days in relative safety.

because it's not the same thing.. the short shifters you buy really shorten the trhow. this doesn't.
plus, i have the creative compacts one which i bought for $70.

it does shorten the throws, actually. Top of the oem shifter measured from 1st to 2nd, vs my ghetto-fab throw distance... And its shorter. Looking at pictures of other shifters, the pivot points are the same. If there r shifters that have adjusted pivot points, other than b&m

Why is it bent and the shifter longer? any reason for it, other than the obvious of moving the shifter closer to the steering wheel?

what are you talking about? the bottom one is stock...

the CC shifter is longer at the bottom portion and shorter at the shifter.

whoa you're right. good thing i jumped on it relatively early like half a year ago. but, hell, its still one of the cheapest short throws out there. and works perfectly. lol i kinda didn't like the "packaging" it came in though.

Huh?

are you mental?

I spent $0. So, whatever I buy next, will just incur cost.

and the **** hasn't fallen off yet, cause I'm not a moron and know how to make sure it sets properly.

and Joes, my bad, thought the top was stock and the bottom was aftermarket (typical comparisons, before then after pics). Makes sense now.
