Default Found Cheap In-Dash DVD/Navi $600

So yesterday I went to the new SuperAutoBacs in Covina and found the Eclipse AVN5510 (last years model) for $600. They are refurbished, but still come with the standard 1 year warrenty. I had it installed their with the harness and bracket's for $100. The best part is My radio door cover still closes

The only difference between the AVN5510 and the new AVN6610 is that the 6610 comes with real time traffic updates.

I think its a pretty good deal. so I thought I would pass it on. They had 11 left yesterday.

i thought i heard something about that model going down in pricing but i think the AVN5510 is still worth it because the real time traffic seems like a waste and it's usually not acturate. good purchase and have fun with the Navi.

Wouldn't you need the harness to keep the steering wheel controls? Thats how it is for the xDs.

the harness for the steering wheel is different from what we are referring to. but the steering wheel control harness is different taps into the existing wires and then into the double din, it only lets the volume and track up/down buttons work but not the mode. i can't see the pic that SuShIxFiSh posted because i am at work but the front/rear speakers are PnP as well as the power to it. either way it's a good module to have because not much might know this but "Fujitsu" makes the "Eclipse" headunits and they also make the same exact ones for SCION which are the ones that they sell from the dealer which not many know about.

All the dealer models were plug/play (AVN50D/AVN52D/AVN62D). Those are also PnP w/ the steering controls.

Only a few Eclipse models have standard controls (minor wire taps) while some need an adapter to make it function properly (Peripheral Forgot the part number... xxxECL2).

You should be able to find that Peripheral brand adapter for between $40 to $80.
