Default A fungus among us @ Scion of Glendora

So I bring my box in for service, nothing major just an adjustment on the alarm. It was way to sensitive.

As I am leaving I notice my sunglasses are gone, they arent super expensive but they werent exactly cheapies. They were Black Fly's No.5. I paid about $110 for them.

I told the service guy they were gone and I have basically just been given lip service about it ever since. I will ask blah blah blah and get back to you blah blah blah I have yet to recieve a call from them and Iam always the one doing the calling.

Up until now Scion of Glendora has been great and this isnt so much a rag on them as it is a warning to everyone who takes there ride in for service. Dont leave anything in your ride that can walk away!

Kick the guys a$$! If it's him, he'll cop to it, if it's not you'll feel better and the whole place will think twice about stealing your stuff again!

Anyone have any mob connections we could sick on this place?

I think it must have been a isolated incident. I have had my ride in for service many times and have never lost anything. I have left Maui Jim Sunglasses on the Visor and all of my CD's and DVD's in the console and never had anything bothered. Did you go to the Service Manager and talk to him ? It most likely was one of the porters that deliver the car to service. I would not blame the whole Dealership for this but I would look into it further. I would also say you are as much to blame as who ever took your items you are not supposed to leave things that are easy to pocket. I think it even says that the Dealer is not responsible for articles left or stolen from vehicle.

I'm not taking any sides here....but that would have to be one foolish dude to value a pair of $110 shades over his job. Murrey and Richard are great people to work for, but one thing they don't tolerate are liars or thieves. The guy would lose his job. And if you hadn't noticed already, there are cameras EVERYWHERE in that place.

"The man" is always watching.

Hope you find your shades.

Hope you get them back, I lost a pair of those a few years ago X-mas shopping. That was my fault tho, I left them on the roof of the car when i left the structure.

Well its been a week since its happened and I am still waiting for a response from Scion of Glendora.

Maybe I am way off base here but it seems to me when you drop 18k somewhere you should expect some kind of customer service, especially when it comes to a theft/loss at the hands of one of there employees..........nada

My opinion of Scion of Glendora has changed greatly because of this and I will be bringing my business to either Longo or Symes in the future.

Why have you been waiting for a responce. Why not go to Glendora and talk to them about this, Calling or waiting for them to call is not the way to do this. Confront them about it and you will get a better reaction. You might even see someone with your Shades. Scion of Glendora is not a Bad Dealer just because of this one incident, it is one bad employee. Are you sure you just didn't misplace your shades somewhere and now blaming it on them. I have dealt with Glendora for three years now and have never had a problem. Go there and talk to Dave (Service Manager) or to Lila (Customer Relations)I'm sure this can be resolved but you need to go there. Maybe you will see who delivered your car to service and give them somewhere to start looking.

See I did confront them when it happened, was told the guy they needed to talk to wasnt in and when they had a chance to discuss it they would "call" me.

Thats where the rub comes in, its always they have my number and will call but never have.

You actually touched on it yourself, its the whole lame ___ attitude "are you sure you didnt just lose them?" I am not an idiot and I know its not a statement to be taken lightly when you accuse someone of stealing from you. I am telling you thats what has happened here . Its the sweeping it under the rug attitude that I am getting thats got me more ____ed off than anything.

As far as I am concerned it is resolved, they dont care it happened and I am not going back

How about talking to the police. You could atleast report it and then the dealer woul d know you are serious and aren't going away.

Sorry to hear about your loss but a single persons actions aren't representative of the dealership. I have taken my car there many times for service without incident. Even though they sponsor my club I still dont leave items of value laying out when I take it there.

I am not saying it's your fault because of someones else's dishonesty. I have just learned to pay attention to that kind of stuff because I dont want to fall victim to it. If you want some more contact info let me know and I can get you in contact with some one higher up on the food chain.

You really need to talk to the right people. I was at the Dealership yesterday and the people I talked to aren't even aware of this. You need to talk to Lila ( Customer Relations) She is a very nice person and I'm sure she can help you with this. In your post you said your not an "Idiot" I never inplied that but think you are if you don't go there and talk to Lila. My last post on this matter..... i'm out
