FUSCION Beach Bash 2009 pics
Aloha Scion friends. Today was the FUSCION Beach Bash 2009 held at lifeguard tower 25 at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach. The weather was awesome if a bit windy but all had a great time.
Thanks to all the friends who came to party with us and enjoy the beach one more time as Summer closes and we look forward to the winter holidays.
Here are some pictures of the days fun. I hope you enjoy!
Edgar and myself arrived at 7:30 to find the area empty and had no trouble securing a few fire rings. With all the supplies and the grill to carry I took one of my other vehicles today, my 87 Volkswagon Vanagon. It's my surf van and was able to hold all our stuff.

The hand made awards to be passed out later...
First to arrive with lots of supplies, John Sr, Andy and Art.
I'd say Big Pimpin' brought the wood and then some!
A surfboard is good for more than surfing.
Sporting more wood.
The usual suspects starting to arrive, Dean, Karina, Bobby and Violet setting up the Beach Cave for the day. They brought along Eddie and Mitchell.

Our friends from Scion Apocalypse arrive and set up their shade for the day.
The kids wasted no time in hitting the sand.
Always glad to hang with Tony and the crew from SA!
Still not sure who pushed who into the water but everyone got wet on this deal.
Time to play some Corn Hole. If you've never tried it you should. Lots of fun and the score board has drink holders!

Time for the water bomb toss. Teams paired up and the balloons started flying.
Karina with an interesting style.
Down to three teams and Mike takes one in the shirt.

As always happens, the extra water balloons were used in an impromptu fight. Lots of wet shirts and good times. (I took one in the back from Victor, a direct hit)
Our DJ showed up and started spinning some great tunes from all types of music.

All of SA's rides were looking great as usual.
Time to grind!
A little bit of everything...hamburger, hot dog, potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad and some chili. Outstanding food.

With our grubbing done and the games all played it was time to pass out the awards.
The best Corn Hole player of the day, Tony
The Water Bomb Toss champions, John Sr and Pat
Remember the xB with the bird crap on the hood? It and the award for Dirtiest Ride belong to Andy.
Winners of the Three Legged Race by a nose, Tony and his lovely wife.
Taking home the Ono Kine Grind award for the best sidedish, Mike. He confided that his father made the potato salad so he's going to share the award with him.
The award for Best Beach Wear goes to Mitchell.
Although we didn't actually catch anyone sleeping to give a Stunt Dog to, Dean was found to be laying down with his eyes closed so we awarded him the Stunt Dawg surfboard.
Marco won the Most Tats Award. We gave up counting he has so many!
Pee Wee took the Best Chubby Bunny Award for stuffing 10 marshmallows in his mouth and still being able to say Chubby Bunny.
The Club Rep Award went to Scion Apocalypse!
One of the founding members of Team Red Cup took the TRC Award. Big Pimpin'
My Brother in Law Bill got the Longest Surfboard Award. He cruises on a 12 footer.
Congratulations to all the award winners!

Great pics and an awesome day Taz!! Thanks to everyone who came out and chilled at the Beach with us. Big Shout out to Edgar, John SR and The SA crew for helpin out on the BBQ!! I'm really looking forward to the next one, bigger and Better baby!!
