Hi folks!!
I hit the 5k mark, got my 1st oil change at my dealership Scion Central in LA. It's been a bit over a week and my engine sounds like it;s got 130k on it. It's embarrassing to hear it clanking like it's old and weak. I thought it was cause of the low end gas but I think it's cause they put in cheap oil.
However this is not really the issue. My air conditioner broke. The AC line connecting to the radiator is leaking and I need a dealer that is not gonna look at my car and look for excuses why it's not covered under warranty. I watched them looking at it and admiring it then giving me the same damn look the cops always do when they are gonna really give you a hard time. Then they start asking questions
But, I need a dealer that can adjust and deal with a car with Neon's under the car also.
I am a bit annoyed cause when I went into the dealer today they were so looking for ways not to be responsible for my car at all. I think they never working on a modded car before. Crazy cause it's in LA for Pete's sake.
I am just a bit frustrated and think with all the scions out there modified they would have some exp. One guy did not even know how to close my CF hood!!! I think they are scared of the car! Sheesh I mean my car is not even close to modified as many others are.
I just want my darn air fixed since it's not my fault it's broke and I do not want to brake my neon's cause of a dealers laziness
if it is laziness. I could be completely responsible for all of these problems but I don't think so.
NOTE: Not looking for a free ride here for the sake of it. If anyone has info on AC lines breaking near the Radiator that has similar specs as me or has that real bad rattling sound at 5k miles with same specs or situation and had a warranty problem please let me know

I agree and know this. I am willing to bite the bullet if there "IS" and issue on my part. I do have an agency pulley. Never heard of any probs like this anywhere though.
trust me James the pully has nothing to do with the A/C line leaking just tell them that you feel that your freon leaked out cause it wont blow out cold air and the will find where the leak is coming from

PM Longo on here, there usually quick with the response!
I was going to suggest Longo as well.
When my car was white with the Kaminari kit, the dealer I bought from denied me my free oil changes unless I signed a waiver stating if they damaged anything on my car, they were not responsible for it - NO THANKS!

KK good news, bad news and then good news
. Good news is I know what the problem is.
Good news is Longo Toyota is Huge!! and a really cool place! Great service dept. They are VERY friendly and made me feel right at home
I also stopped and chatted with Richard in the Scion sales to drop of a DVD of the pics from the show + some one else (Cynce's friend) recognized me from the Longo show last.
Bad news is it's the air condenser. You can see the dent in the grill from whatever hit it. it's not under warranty and it would cost $850 to fix including labor etc. from them.
Good news is it might not cost as much cause I am going to a radiator shop to try and have it tapped for like $30.
So a simple problem that is also completely an out of pocket problem. Maybe my insurance would take the claim but at what cost later.

I do not really like getting older but oh well
I do have good news. So far I found a place with the help of a friend (Chris/06scioxb) that took the Condenser for a $35 weld
If all goes well I will have my AC working by Friday night all for under $100 including Freon/oil install and weld. ALLOT better than the $850 the dealer wanted to charge me
