yeah im like 15 minutes away...i work in Newhall and could see the smoke from the fires from the office window

i live in simi valley and im just 2 exits away.i been watching the news all day and the fire has jumped the frwy and its at Rocky Peak rd witch is only 5 min away from my house. Good luck to everone else.

 

i live about 10 mins from the fire but i think its going away from my house but make sure everyone stays safe

Have everything important packed up and ready to go. That way when they call you to let you know of the evacuation, you can leave immediately. Stay safe everyone!

 

Well, I was told to evacuate. I left work & packed up my animals and brought them to work with me. To be honest, that's all I care about. The tC's even sitting in the garage. When I was leaving the firefighters had blocked off my street and they won't let anyone in.

 

dammit tina. u should have just brought it over here. we have a empty space in teh garage lol

 

& then I'm going to come back to claim it & suddenly theres a few hundred miles added to the odometer. mhm.

 

nooooo??? lol it would just sit in the garage

 

i live 5 lights away from the 118 freeway off DeSoto and i'm still at work while the 118 freeway is closed, so now i have to drive from Sun Valley all the way to the other side of the valley taking the streets which will be a good while

Kidding! I hope everyone stays safe. Just think that if the fire burns through all the vegetation in that area a fire shouldn't happen again for another few years

my friends girlfriend they had to leave their house and that they could only take their passports and to leave everything else

 

see if im being evacuated they arent going to sit there and tell me what i can and cant take!

 

Actually things grow back pretty darn fast. Some of the san diego areas that burned near my aunts grew back really fast surprisingly.

 

so im not anywhere near the fires but ive been watching them on the news and this thing is crazy! i hope everyone is ok and stays safe! hopefully the weather improves and helps contain the fire. good luck everyone

 

True but the areas by me that were burned last year still don't have that much growth yet. The trees are maybe just recovering from the fire in Mojeska Canyon :?
