What do the judges judge on? I would like to know so that when I get my car ready for HIN in LA, I can be ready. This would be my first real show, , so yea.

 

every thing.. if its your first show, its gonna be crazy since u have to drop off your car the night before and be sure to register months ahead so you can get proper placement, you come in between 3-7 i think on friday night to drop off the car then around 12 in the afternoon on the sat of the show so you can prep the car for judging around 2pm-4pm then the show starts from 4pm - 11 pm, the judging is based on cleanliness and how many custom and bolt on mods you have more custom the more points, as well as display and lighting be sure to have a lighting display for hin because that is key and clean everything i clean in all my wheel wells as well as in side of my rims and inside the corners of my engine bay.. everything is important, i had a chance for street category since most of the other tc's like sciontific didn't show but most likely the xb's one since they usually have more mods.

also anything to add into your display of your car helps alot don't have anything in the car and allow them to see everything make a list of all the mods you did to the car so you can hand it to them while u explain in detail everything about your car.. well thats a small summary of what i recommend to be prepared for, also don't have swirl marks on the car a lot of judges look at your wax and look for swirl marks.

 

Thanks. So I can't set up my display on Friday and finish it off Saturday. I think I'm going to have to buy neon and add it to my list. Oh well. I use Meguiars all the time.........I don't get swirl marks but I'm afraid of spraying detailer cuz it leaves "spider webs" on the finish. So I guess Custom is key in HIN. I'm a clean freak so Cleaniness is nothing, ............its getting my box ready in 4-5 months is my biggest factor.

grreat, actually it all depends how packed they are on friday and how early u get there so u may have time and they may let u setup, its all up to the people there at the time you roll in.
